Pretty much. And one can do it living down town. Just don’t play the game anymore. Do not spend one dime for anything one doesn’t absolutely need. Eat at home and stop spending on wants and just stick to the needs only. Go into camping mode. Enough do this in mass and it will indeed get their attention.

If you have cash reserves, don’t wait until it is valueless. Use it on useful things - tools, equipment and implements, batteries…stock up on what you use in your life, and preserve it as best you can. Buy guns and ammo, and good knives, you will always be able to use more. Soon a couple thousand in savings will be worthless - buy that shotgun or rifle now. Don’t think you are using them to fight the police or military, you aren’t, that’s stupid. You are using them to survive if things really go south. Things are better than cash right now.
Have the things you are going to need. THEN go minimalist.
