DeSantis doesn’t need to “run against Trump” because he doesn’t need to take Trump out. Trump will take Trump out.

At 76 years old, Trump still has zero political discipline and everyone knows this is his weak spot.

Brandon’s handlers figured this out in 2020, that is why Brandon was hiding in his basement in 2020 and it worked. The more Trump was visible, the more people hated him.

Trump is running in '24. Desantis will get crushed if he tries to go against Trump.

I predict that you will be voting for Trump in Nov. ‘24.

Get used to the idea.

Where else are you going to go?

Ryan said, “We probably likely lose the White House. We just did in ’20. So, I think we probably lose the White House with Trump.”

In 2020 Trump earned more popular votes than any Republican presidential candidate in United States history with 74.2 million popular votes. He also received more popular votes in 2016 than any other Republican. He out performed the 62.9 million votes he received in 2016 by 11 million.. Romney received 60.9 million in 2012. McCain received 59.9 million in 2008. George W. Bush received 62.0 million popular votes in 2004, and 50.4 million in 2000.

Biden ostensibly achieve 81.3 million votes in 2020. If Paul Ryan truly believes the 2020 election counts for both candidate were 100% accurate and not impacted by cheating, if Trump had not run for reelection in 2020, what Republican does Ryan believe could have earned enough votes to beat Biden? What Republican does Ryan believe can even beat Trumps 2020 74 million total in 2024 if Trump is not the nominee.

Does Ryan not realize that if Trump is cheated by the party establishment of the 2024 nomination, the conservative base will stay home and the establishment nominee (Pence, Haley, Pompeo, Hogan, etc) will receive far fewer popular votes than Trump did in 2000 or 2024? Ryan is either delusional or is already rooting for a Democrat winning in 2024 no matter who the Republicans nominate.

Totally agree. Trump was a fabulously great president but I don’t believe he’s electable now. %#$!@

It should be victory. If they could both beat whatever filthy Maoist that the Rats nominate I want Trump. If only one of them could beat the Rat I want that one. If neither could win (possible...more voter fraud) I'd rather it be DeSantis.

Lol…
However, does it even matter? The people in charge are corrupt and their minions are doing their bidding. It’s all rigged.

I don’t know if DeSantis can win the White House in 2024 but I do know this, Donald Trump can not.

Donald Trump has no path to the White House.

Can DeSantis flip WI, AZ, NV, and GA? Maybe. And if he does, that’s the White House.

Trump will flip none of these states.

I’m tired of politics? I’ll vote for either one at the end although I prefer DeSantis

Neither of them will be as strong as Trump was in 2020. The Republicans are not going to be allowed to win unless things are so far gone that the Left no longer cares. The Democrats will just cheat again. Why wouldn’t they? The consequences? Their morality? They have wildly cheated twice now without consequences. They have no morality apart from evil. They will just cheat again.

Trump. He has been robbed of 1-1/2 terms and has work to do before age has its way. Then DeSantis for two terms.

“I think Ron DeSantis is great.’

perhaps; but the question is pointless until DeSantis announces his candidacy...

should he do so, the question is who will gather the most independent minded voters to his side; as a candidate, ignore this rapidly growing voter cohort at your own peril...

DeSantis connected with me big time when he went up to Brandon, Florida to announce that companies could decide for themselves whether employees had to wear masks at work or be vaccinated. Some other issues too.

I would say he hit the ground running.

From the article: “But Trump has already proven that he has the knowledge, the will, and the courage to confront them all, “at 30 feet.””

But first you have to win. The question isn’t what they will do after they win, the question is which one is more likely to win. DeSantis.

‘Trump will flip none of these states.’

you are speculating without having sufficient data to do so; for instance, we don’t yet know who the dems will run, nor do we know that De Santis would even be interested...

Biden may easily be too sick to run, and the dems could run a proven loser like Kamala Harris...in that case, projecting losses for any pub opponent puts the cart before the horse...
