“I can’t believe she wrote that about lockdowns and the vaccines.”
Wolf was a vociferous opponent of all the covid craziness (let me just put it that way, because I tried to pay as little attention as possible). Like RFK, Jr., this is why she is more welcomed on the Right these days.
I stumble on to this essay via Rod Dreher at The American Conservative and found this thread before I posted it.
Golden eagle, thanks for posting this, it’s mind blowing. And yeah, Wolf is focused on Covid, but clearly from the comments most of us are thinking about other things. Because the point Wolf makes about the speed and universality of the covid over-reaction can be made just as well about a lot more post 2019 insanity.
Who thought a mere four years ago that Public School Kindergarten Teachers wanted to Queer the Kindergarteners?
As to her being a Believer, she takes great pains to keep her Jewish standing clear throughout this piece. Don’t know if that means she is a believer, or just respectful of her heritage. But she is clearly a very educated person, and she’s a very readable writer.
I also do like Naomi Wolf, no matter how little I know of her, or how big a LIB FEM she was or is, but she’s never afraid to BE A GIRL. For a Feminist, that’s pretty bold.
Like another person says, she seems to be straightforward and will tell you what she thinks. Gold Star for that these days, for sure!
Mr. mm sent me a link to this from the Brownstone Institute. I missed it when you posted it here. Thank you for doing that.
This is a long read, but fascinating stuff. The author is no kook, by any means, as it is a rational and well written article, but she really does see what’s going on in regard to the source of the evil in this world today.
Let us pray so.
+1
She is no Biblical scholar - especially the Hebrew Scriptures she claims - but it is interesting.

For an exceptional essay.
Was it anything like these Early Church Fathers??
As regards the oft-quoted Mt. 16:18, note the following Early Church Fathers promise in the profession of faith of Vatican 1:
• Basil of Seleucia, Oratio 25:
'You are Christ, Son of the living God.'...Now Christ called this confession a rock, and he named the one who confessed it 'Peter,' perceiving the appellation which was suitable to the author of this confession. For this is the solemn rock of religion, this the basis of salvation, this the wall of faith and the foundation of truth: 'For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Christ Jesus.' To whom be glory and power forever. — Oratio XXV.4, M.P.G., Vol. 85, Col. 296-297.
• Bede, Matthaei Evangelium Expositio, 3:
You are Peter and on this rock from which you have taken your name, that is, on myself, I will build my Church, upon that perfection of faith which you confessed I will build my Church by whose society of confession should anyone deviate although in himself he seems to do great things he does not belong to the building of my Church...Metaphorically it is said to him on this rock, that is, the Saviour which you confessed, the Church is to be built, who granted participation to the faithful confessor of his name. — 80Homily 23, M.P.L., Vol. 94, Col. 260. Cited by Karlfried Froehlich, Formen, Footnote #204, p. 156 [unable to verify by me].
• Cassiodorus, Psalm 45.5:
'It will not be moved' is said about the Church to which alone that promise has been given: 'You are Peter and upon this rock I shall build my Church and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.' For the Church cannot be moved because it is known to have been founded on that most solid rock, namely, Christ the Lord. — Expositions in the Psalms, Volume 1; Volume 51, Psalm 45.5, p. 455
• Chrysostom (John) [who affirmed Peter was a rock, but here not the rock in Mt. 16:18]:
Therefore He added this, 'And I say unto thee, Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church; that is, on the faith of his confession. — Chrysostom, Homilies on the Gospel of Saint Matthew, Homily LIIl; Philip Schaff, Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers (http://www.ccel.org/ccel/schaff/npnf110.iii.LII.html)
• Cyril of Alexandria:
When [Peter] wisely and blamelessly confessed his faith to Jesus saying, 'You are Christ, Son of the living God,' Jesus said to divine Peter: 'You are Peter and upon this rock I will build my Church.' Now by the word 'rock', Jesus indicated, I think, the immoveable faith of the disciple.”. — Cyril Commentary on Isaiah 4.2.
• Origen, Commentary on the Gospel of Matthew (Book XII):
“For a rock is every disciple of Christ of whom those drank who drank of the spiritual rock which followed them, 1 Corinthians 10:4 and upon every such rock is built every word of the church, and the polity in accordance with it; for in each of the perfect, who have the combination of words and deeds and thoughts which fill up the blessedness, is the church built by God.'
“For all bear the surname ‘rock’ who are the imitators of Christ, that is, of the spiritual rock which followed those who are being saved, that they may drink from it the spiritual draught. But these bear the surname of rock just as Christ does. But also as members of Christ deriving their surname from Him they are called Christians, and from the rock, Peters.” — Commentary on the Gospel of Matthew (Book XII), sect. 10,11 ( http://www.newadvent.org/fathers/101612.htm)
• Hilary of Potier, On the Trinity (Book II):
Thus our one immovable foundation, our one blissful rock of faith, is the confession from Peter's mouth, Thou art the Son of the living God. On it we can base an answer to every objection with which perverted ingenuity or embittered treachery may assail the truth."-- (Hilary of Potier, On the Trinity (Book II), para 23; Philip Schaff, editor, The Nicene & Post Nicene Fathers Series 2, Vol 9.
We can probably see a few during March Madness.
“it takes longer to correct error than to teach error”
Now, with altars and images of pagan gods taking 'place of pride' in our country, and bizarre evil focused on children etc. I do feel the spiritual rising of Evil as I believe it is spoken of in the bible as the church, and the Age of Grace, exits.Excellent points.
We are indeed in the last days.
The Spirit of the antichrist/lawlessness is running rampant across the earth.
Satan is walking to and fro across the planet doing his last bit of damage. He knows his time is short.
When the church is taken up, there is no holding him back. God's spirit lives inside all Christian and has been holding back the worst of Satan's plans.
When we are gone all hell will break loose.
1 Peter, 5:8:Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour
It appears so.
She is correct, there is no way of understanding it with the ‘natural’ mind.
But we, as Christians, have the Mind of Christ, the Word of God and His Holy Spirit to guide us into all Truth.
And from diligently studying the Word and understanding prophecy, it’s clear what is happening.
I pray for Dr. Wolf that she will see that Jesus is revealing Himself to her.
And what is happening is explained in my previous post.

+1 Brother.
✝️
Excellent article. Thanks for the ping. I’d recently heard of Caan and his Return of the Gods. No doubt we are in that period of time.
I got the book.
He does his excellent job as usual. It’s very well researched and documented.
I see Caan pastors a church in Wayne NJ. Not too far from me. I’d like to visit sometime.
