Are you an idiot? Dont answer...it is a rhetorical question
Can you proofread?
Don’t answer…the answer is obvious.
Either you are being silly, or you have AB confused with somebody else. Not a good day to kick a guy when he is under the weather.
I hope you feel and get better soon Alas Babylon!
Just got back from all morning at the doctor’s office. I have renal failure. I’ve got to get a kidney ultrasound later this pm and perhaps dialysis tomorrow.
Kinda sux!
You’re in my prayers Babylon...
Prayers brother
Prayers for quick and positive resolution!
Oh no!
I’m so sorry!
Please keep us posted!
Sending prayers for you.
If you need a new kidney, I hope you will quickly find a donor with a compatible blood type. There is “at-home” dialysis, but it’s still a hassle.
Prayers out for you, AB.
We don’t need idiots that can’t tell a man from a woman so GTFO and don’t come back!!
Ok, important info:
I do not have TOTAL renal failure. I am a type 1 diabetic on insulin for a couple of decades now. But I’m actually non-responsive to certain insulins but about 12 years ago, my doctors found one that works. It is VERY high-powered (Humalin U-500) that can only be taken in small doses throughout a 24 hour period. Anyway, my younger days non-treated period wreaked havoc on my systems, including my kidneys. So I have chronic kidney disease also. Because of this, I have to avoid potassium.
I hate this!
I can’t eat a number of foods that are starchy because of my blood sugar and I can’t eat another set of foods because of CKD. They don’t overlap.
Anyway, for the past year or two, I’ve been getting into the keto diet with more and more recipes I can concoct thanks to youtube. One of the most important building blocks of keto is almond and coconut flour. I’ve gotten quite creative with these and eat stuff made of them all the time. My blood sugar has vastly improved.
So, guess what I found out? Almonds have a huge amount of potassium. Like bananas. I was poisoning my kidneys.
The doctors gave me some anti-potassium medicine and I need to take that and come back next Monday.
Rod—I already spoke with Laslo Fripp and we are squared away. He really thought I was someone else (a woman in the Air Force who I probably know).
Thank you EVERYONE!
Glad to see you are back. Get some rest and prayers to you for a speedy recovery
+100
Thanks for the update. For what it’s worth, I have a sister with CKD who does just fine with just medication. She does sorely miss feeding her coffee habit, though.
Take care.
