“With my phone on sitting a few feet from the meter the signal saturation is four times as high.”
Would you clarify the actual quantitative level you measured in that situation.... thnx
Np. The rf measurement while driving through town with the phone off will average between 12 and 30 mW/m^2 (the highest while passing Walmart). When the phone is on while driving on the same street the measurement is up to 90 mW/m^2.
The point is the radio bombardment from your environment appears to be intensified when your phone is on. Putting it in airplane mode does work like turning the phone off from my testing.
Thanks, yes, I think the FAA made sure airplane mode really does turn things off.
I’m hearjng delayed alerts as people turn their phones back on.
After that fena alert - To quote Elton John “ I’m still standing…”
Did the signal get through the foil?
It got through the foil, but thankfully didn’t penetrate te=he baked potatoes or corn on the cob.
Glad to hear the potatoes and corn on the cob are okay.
First it was the super loud alarm - blaring 4-5 (?) times. Followed by a completely garbled message I couldn’t understand. FEMA / FCC is funded by billions of dollars of our tax money… and that’s what we got. 🙄
Turning on almost 2 hours later, nothing.
“News” seemed silent about it. Must not have been a success.
