I’m assuming the Israelis would like to use the land after evicting the current occupants. Bit more difficult if it’s under a couple meters of water, plus that’s a great way to get a plague of mosquitoes.

Doesn’t matter what the tunnel volume is. With basically unlimited water available, the primary task is to figure a way of getting the briny Mediterranean into the tunnels and protecting it.
