Honestly, I'm not sure they do. I think leftists have been rigging elections for the better part of the last century. And have convinced the people that this is how their electorate wants it to be.

I agree that elections have been rigged for longer than we commonly think.

But even if they haven't been, all it demonstrates is that democracy is every bit as dangerous as it was thought to be in antiquity and during the Renaissance.
