That poster makes way more sense than you do, so maybe you’re the one who should sit down and shut up.

>However, I have faith that the powers that be will be able to invent an objective test that shows marijuana impairment.

Just like the Covid tests the same powers that be invented? When the significant problem of not being able to prove impairment with a product as common, legal or not, as pot, has been around for as long as this problem cheap easy short term solutions are NOT a good bet. Just like the left's green wet dream isn't a good bet. The way alcohol impairment was judged prior to blood tests and breathalyzers may be the only option and there were major problems with that.

I’ll compare my IQ with yours any day - even while high on cannabis I will still smoke you out intellectually.

I know it couldn’t happen. I’m just saying that referendums facilitate changes to the constitution for issues that should be handled legislatively.

Smoking in bars and turtle nets are not constitutional issues.

The state constitution should be much more difficult to amend.

It’s like Politicians always have their constituents’ best interests at heart, so we should leave all major decisions up to them, instead of the public which is stupid and incapable of making decisions.

Yeah, but it's level doesn't go from 100% to 0 on day 30.

There is obviously a measurable decline from full-blown intoxication to remnants that have no effect.

The insurance companies will fund the development of technology to measure it as it becomes more widely legalized.

And it will be as accurate and meaningful as a Breathalyzer.

I wish they'd develop a roadside IQ meter because stupid people with bad judgment cause more accidents than all the .01% alcohol drinkers ever have.

Ya can't because there is no pass/fail field sobriety test for THC.

There are roadside tests.

the argument for pot legalization rests on the dumb ass argument that booze is bad too.

The dumbass argument for opposing it is that we can trust the government that is keeping the borders open and letting all of this crap in will enforce the law. Or that the government that has weaponized every other agency against us will not weaponize the DEA.

But then again, since you bring up alcohol, why not make alcohol illegal? Then we can eliminate all of the deaths from accidents, crime, and health hazards caused by alcohol.
