That’s where liberal ‘elties’ started with Trump when he first came down the escalator... that he ‘had to apologize’. For what? Basically for breathing.

All conservatives had to apologize. And all men. And all white people. Finally, we put that behind us.

Miller wants to bring it back. No way.

“I wish Trump had a bit more Reagan in him,”

Why?

“I wish Trump had a bit more Reagan in him, and a bit less Patton.”

Let Trump be Trump.

Do you want him to give broad amnesty to illegals as Reagan did?

Do you want him abusing his wife as Patton did (according to his children)?

Then you’ll have some real big trouble with God.
His whole plan is apologize, forgiveness, let Him lead as we realize we cant do anything good by our own power because human nature is selfish. Thankfully God can help us, and He wants to!

I always liked Dennis Miller. He is whip smart and erudite. Who else could come up with a reference that Trump’s tan makes other people look like Edgar Winters. Lol.

Dorothy Parker at the Algonquin Club, he ain't. Actually, that "quip" reminds me of something Dorothy Parker said about the Algonquin Club: It was a phony as a three and half dollar bill. All the humor and wit was practiced and polished, not in the least spontaneous.

Dennis got reinserted back into the Matrix. The only person deserving of an apology is Trump and maybe the rest of America that has been getting ground into dust these last many years.

Dennis, TRUMP won in 2020. Your friends who would rather see the country wrecked instead of having their precious little sensibilities violated will “find out” soon enough.

Dennis’s most recent engagements were Dennis Miller + One, a show he hosted on RT America, a channel that’s funded by the Russian government. It was an interview show in which Dennis would bring on a celebrity guest and spend the entire half hour talking to them. The show replaced Larry King Now following Larry’s death in February 2021. Dennis quit the show following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

I don’t want Trump to apologize for anything. It would be a very stupid move. It’s right out of the democrat playbook; make them apologize and laud it over them.

I agree. There are hell of a lot of people who owe an apology - to Trump and to Trump supporters.

He isn’t arrogant - the people who think that never watch his entire speeches - they just see whatever out-of-context sound clips the fake news wants to use against him.

The most famous “arrogant” thing he ever supposedly said was - “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters, OK?”

But guess what - that isn’t something he said - he was quoting something a fake news pundit had said. Some fake news pundit had insulted all Trump supporters by suggesting Trump could commit murder in broad daylight and they would still vote for him.

At a rally, he repeated what the fake news pundit had said, as a way of showing the crowd “this is what the fake news thinks of you - they think you are blind cult followers with no conscience”

Anyone who listened to the context knew that was not a boast on Trump’s part, but rather a quote of what the fake news thought of Trump supporters.

Here’s what Trump actually said at the rally in full context:

“My people are so smart — and you know what else they say about my people? The polls?” Trump asked a crowd at a Sioux Center, Iowa, rally Saturday. “I have the most loyal people — did you ever see that?”

“I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters, OK?” he said, referring to the major street in New York City that cuts through Manhattan’s large commercial district. “It’s, like, incredible.”

But the headlines for months afterward made it sound like Trump was boasting that - when actually he was making fun of an insult that the fake news had made of Trump supporters.

That is just one of hundreds of examples where the fake news has taken Trump comments out of context to make him look bad.

The only people fooled are the ones who don’t listen to his whole speeches - those that do listen know that he is a kind, generous wonderful man with a big heart - with a gigantic set of balls - who will tell the truth even when it hurts.

Agree! For the uninformed, albino American rock star of the 70s:

Hear, hear noiseman. Sad to see so many here think we are really going to save the Republic by apologizing to traitors that sold us into this mess. We have one shot at saving the Republic and right now that is Trump. Maybe a new leader will become apparent but I can assure you they will not arise from the DC elite.

Who in their wildest dreams 20 years ago that we would see our 5 year old children be exposed to the filth of transsexualism in our schools or that Christians would be classified as terrorists? Or even worse peaceful protesters locked away many without trials and no more than a handful of our representatives would even complain.

there is no shame in Trump being or at least showing more humility. He is human like the rest of us. He doesn’t have to say sorry but he sure could show appreciation as Dennis suggested.

Dennis Miller said he wasn't even aware that the Iowa caucus had taken place. So he didn't hear Trump giving conciliatory compliments to his opponents, Haley, DeSantis and Ramaswamy.

Trump's past in New York formed his "nobody eff with me" personality. Then the attacks on him from even before he ran for president hardened his shell. Whether he wins or loses the 2024 race, he and his family will be persecuted by the tolerant left for the rest of their lives. I say he's entitled to some latitude here. He has been demonstrably kind and generous in person to many, many individuals in need of a strong ally, a good opinion from a prominent voice, actual rescue, or financial aid.

Even here on FR, a poster recently asserted as FACTS many false negatives about Trump, including that his marriage to Melania is on the rocks—before it was known that she was absent from the Trump family holiday photos to attend to her dying mother. This freeper critic has been signed up here for many years, but is old and has drunk the hate Kool-Aid.

Dennis cited friends of his who would never vote for Trump because of his personality. Apparently Dennis is referring to wealthy, insulated, politically naïve show biz-adjacent individuals who are also deaf'n'dumb about the issues, and the suicidal danger of giving in to the global psy-ops war.

How many people know about Harold Reese? He was better known as Pee Wee Reese. How about Edwin Snider? Better known as Duke Snider.

And how about Marion Morrison or Frances Gumm?

My favorite Dorothy Parker quip: “Every word he said was a lie, including ‘and’ and ‘the.’”

He did that after Cruz people put out that as against Melania. No apology coming.

That was a Cruz PAC. Not his campaign people.

That's illegal. So is that what you are accusing Cruz of?
