Dear Floridians (and anyone who lives directly on the Atlantic Coast) - I a taxpayer should not be subsidizing your choice to build in a hurricane zone.

DeSantis and FL’s pols have had years to fix this.

Their inaction, like their inaction on securing the state’s elections, speaks volumes.

Part of it is people are filing claims to get a new roof and siding when minors storms come through.
Yes for some filing a claim is a nightmare.
Part of that is their neighbors are abusing the system.

First thing that DeSantis and Moody need to look at is the relationship between Insurers and Blackrock. In 2018, Blackrock was the number one asset manager for P&C and Life insurers. Given Blackrock’s CEO's recent proclamation that he would “force behaviors” on inclusion efforts when it comes DEI, what else is fair game to “force”?

Unless Ron can control the weather, like George bush when he steered Katrina in to New Orleans, it isn’t likely to solve insurance companies refusal to keep insuring Florida coast lines. And the “solution” would of course be a massive government program. (facetious of course.)

But... I wonder. Could it be a good time to just get a vacant piece of land, park an RV, and not worry about insurance? Just get out of Dodge when the hurricanes are a’coming.
