it’s panic free ... panic is induced by the brain when it senses either inability to inhale (suffocation) OR toxic amounts of CO2 building up in the blood with no way to purge the CO2.... none of that happens during N2 inhalation as the brain is clueless to what’s going on ... one simply passes out from lack of oxygen while breathing normally ...

indeed ... no physicians needed because not a “medical” procedure such as the case with injectables, and no way to prevent supply because N2 is available as an industrial gas pretty much at all industrial gas supply outfits ...
Damn near did the same ting to myself, was told the tank contained compressed AIR.
Well it wasn’t, it was CO2.
Was in a completely sealed off small boiler room after an abatement job, had my full face mask/PAPR on and was blowing out the burners on the boiler when I started getting stupid and making mistakes.
I realized that I wasn’t getting any oxygen and damn near kicked the door of it’s hinges to get out, to hell with the contamination, it can be cleaned up later.
Should have sued the company that supplied the “COMPRESSED AIR” tank but was just glad to be alive!
He ASKED for nitrogen! Now he’s saying it’s cruel?

Arizona learned that even cyanide gas isn’t foolproof. It was based on the assumption that the condemned would hold their breath, the inhale a bunch of gas, passing out immediately. However, one inmate just continued to breathe normally. As his skin grew red, a characteristic of “blood agents” like cyanide, he breathed faster and faster, obviously in a great deal of suffocation pain. It took him a LOT longer to die.
I wonder if there is a similar rule for nitrogen?
