The Texas State Guard exists and answers only to the State of Texas. I joined after the Army, mainly because I was unwilling to be be in the TNG and end up back being cannon fodder on pointless missions.

If you examine the statute authorizing Federalization, the language is quite specific. If the Biden regime were to try, Abbott would have the legal right to refuse.

Gov. Abbott, Send Every Illegal to Washington, D.C.,

From Now On:

He needs to focus his itineraries on the one place that matters most.

Abbott needs to stop busing migrants to Chicago, New York, Detroit, Denver, and other blue cities around the country and focus his itineraries on the one place that matters most.

Every single migrant who crosses into Texas ought to be collected and shipped to Washington, D.C.

Let the nation’s capital become the world’s largest migrant camp. Let the schools, hospitals, gymnasia, theaters, hotels, airports, train stations, police stations, fire stations, arenas, and government buildings be overrun with migrants to such an extent that nothing but their care can be accomplished. Turn every park in Washington into a tent city for Bolivians, Guatemalans, Chinese, and Pakistanis to litter, micturate, and defecate at their leisure within.

Shut down D.C. with illegal migrants. Bury it. Focus the suffering; trap it where the power brokers live. Make them so miserable that they scream for respite from the refugee camp their city has become.

Maybe then we’ll see some change.

What we know is that the ruling class, the out-of-touch, insufferable elite who populate that place, won’t stop inflicting pain until it’s inflicted on them. And not enough is getting to them. So bring it right to their doorstep.

Now. Faster.

Insufficient. We have passed the point where outraged public opinion matters.

Indeed. Its naive to the extreme. The majority of Americans won't even see the controversy as they only are exposed to state-run media. As long as the Fed.gov checks keep coming, all is well.

Not even. Most GS15 or higher don't even live in DC, nor do they go anywhere except of few spots in NW DC.

Drop the migrants in Chevy Chase and Bethesda MD, Arlington, Alexandria, McLean and Falls Church VA

I have family in El Paso. The gov.. Biden.. Has made that city unsafe and if they go outside, they carry. Washington wouldn’t live like that.. I know they don’t care about people. But this ain’t gonna fly.. To come in and side with the invaders against citizens.. What are you thinking!!? Brain dead.

If Mobilized in support of a state mission, it is funded by the state budget, if for a federal mission, the federal government pays. That’s why governors are so quick to ask for a ‘federal’ emergency during a disaster.

Section 2, Article 1 of the Constitution states that the President is commander in chief of the Army and Navy and of the militia when called into Federal service. The National Guard is the successor of the state militias. Keep in mind National Guard units from other states have been sent to Texas to support the Lone Star State's efforts to control the border. Presidents Eisenhower and Kennedy federalized National Guard units to prevent state governors such as Orval Faubus, George Wallace, and Ross Barnett to use their military to preserve school segregation. If Biden were to do the same thing, he has precedent within living memory.

At that point, if Biden tries to take the state National Guard units away from Governor Abbott, they will either have to obey or disobey, risking courts martial in the latter case. The states supporting Texas will either have to back down or disobey. The question arises: who will blink first. In the desegregation era, it was the Southern governors who blinked.

Bring it on, but just remember when you mess with Texas you’re going to ‘reap the wild wind’ as Chuckie once said.

It’s an election year trap for Brandon.

I'd be really impressed if Abbott started doing this at every entry point, and start providing patrols between. In any event, this should all prove interesting.

IIRC too, the Federal Gov’t pays all or most of the bill for the maintenance and repair of vehicles/equipment and training of NG units. Additionally, I believe all the equipment is federal property. I’m writing this from memory so YMMV. A NG guy may have better info than I.

Cheers!

Apples and oranges thing going on there. That was a political scuffle back then - this is an existential threat, with many layers to it. There's going to be irrevocable consequences no matter what happens.

as a former member of the TxSG, I was just about to post something.
I posted this on X earlier - the TxSG backs up the Active Duty/Reserve AND NG in Texas - They’re already there as far as I know and part of the action.

(and if I hadn’t moved to Oklahoma, I’d be there too, but that’s another story)

...I agree with you, the Federal Government is now outside

of the law and any agents acting in its regard need to be

arrested.
