Brings back bad memories of the John Boehner era. Campaign on getting rid of Obamacare. Then when you have Republican majorities in Congress, cry about how your hands are tied and there is nothing you can do.
I remember that lying Democrat Arlen Specter guy getting up and claiming they all read individual parts of Obamacare
They were booing him at a town hall
He died within just a couple of years (roughly) after that too (October 14, 2012)
Mitt Romney started all this before Obama made it his.
It was about “freeloaders” showing up at the hospitals hurting the profitability of the Medical Industrial Complex.
Mitt Romney used the word “freeloaders” when he ran for POTUS in 2012 talking about his Romneycare plan when he was Gov. of Massachusetts.
Forget Right and Left folks we are a Business where Big Government and Big Business work together to build Big Profits.
That's not insurance. That's welfare.
Back when Mr. Obama was promoting his socialist medicine program, sane people recognized that he was trying to convert medical INSURANCE into medical WELFARE, and opposed him.
America is doomed because so-called "conservatives" love Big Government.
The financial subsidy rules have changed considerably so more more middle class people get them. It used to be 4X the poverty rate. It is well above that now..
People who willingly trade freedom for security will always like government taking care of them. Most of these people will be democrats. No surprise here.
The hospitals were losing money so the government bailed them out by making everyone get health insurance.
People getting ACA insurance based on their income their ability to pay.
So I guess it is Socialism that bails out Capitalism that is the “Health Care Industry”.
I dabble in Wall Street and I have made some money investing in that industry.
Good luck finding an American born doctor in the Dallas area that takes an Obamacare plan.

People love it so much, they’re willing to get a second job just to pay their insurance. Like I am.
If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor. Another lie.
Part of the problem is the free market of healthcare between doctor and patient has no megaphone like gov’t. So the world’s best healthcare system is largely silent.
It takes an INFOMRED POPULACE to know that gov’t is the problem, not the solution, and that the free market of healthcare between doctor and patient provides the HIGHEST QUALITY healthcare at the LOWEST COST, just like before the gov’t illegally stated messing with it.
I know people that use it, and are glad it’s there. Health insurance is a problem, the Dems did something, the Republicans did nothing, as usual.
Remember repeal and replace?

I have huge problems with the availability and quality of care in our current system, but I’ll have to admit you are right. It’s a further blow to the “less government” mantra of conservatives. Increasingly the conversation is shifting to “what kind of government and what is it doing?”
The house should go for vote number 34. Surely this time the can vote to get rid of it.

I think this statement used all the time should have an addition. Between the words adults and have put polled. The other inferrance has a far better chance of being a lie than the truth.
Example:
In the early 50’s there was a poll put out that said 10% of the population in the US was gay. This was interpreted by Alfred Kinsey’s prominent study of sexuality in men led to the often-quoted estimate of 10% of the U.S. population being gay or lesbian. The question in the poll was if the pollee was practicing homosexuality. The poll was taken in prison.

The Health Care Industry in partnership with Big Government not to mention the Health Insurance Industry makes money this way.
There was a time when Health Care was small business the doctors owner-operators the hospitals non-profits.
It died when LBJ handed Harry Truman the first Medicare card in 1965 and its been downhill ever since.

Obamacare is total garbage. Especially where I live. I am having something going on with my leg and wanted to see a doctor. The SOONEST that ANY “provider” which accepts the crap Obamacare in this county is JULY!!! AND not just that, the closest clinic is 3 hours 1 way. Good thing I’m not having chest pains...
For those who can... Get yourself a medical expense sharing program and pay the subscription based “Direct Provider” and you will actually get to see a doctor.
People got used to the pain...
Then it’s not “coverage” anymore. It’s just a payment plan for medical expenses — whether you incur those expenses or not.
That provision alone has played a huge role in driving up “medical insurance” premiums since the ACA was passed.
