Some people are very sensitive to odors. But shutting down a restaurant just because it has an odor is ridiculous.
I have heard of a Siracha sauce factory having to make sure it’s fumes don’t get out cause the neighbors were complaining.
Yoko Ono song?
Barnes and Barnes.
Yeh older dogs can stink
Back in the 80’s in college some Vietnamese students invited me to eat at their apartment.
They were cooking pork on a grill on the 2nd floor balcony. A large cloud of smoke was formed from the fat dripping onto the fire so a fan was brought out to blow the smoke away.
A couple of them were snickering as they were aiming the fan toward the patio door on the ground floor. They told me that there were Muslims living in that apartment.
I would love to have aVietnamese restaurant near in my neighborhood. Smells good.
That’s nước mám- makes everything better except maybe beer.
Being from Portland and knowing the city well, this has gentrification by white Democrats with one of them making the calls. Fremont is a good place to buy property and then scuttle those living there.
Somehow Trump will be blamed for it. That city is nuts and I’m so glad I left.
I wonder how they would feel if it was a Korean kim-chi place, heavy on the garlic. Man, THAT smell could get up and walk over and embrace you!
There was a TV show that made it famous, and it’s my feeling that the show made the city’s charm better known and was the cause of the city’s ruin.
As I’ve posted before, don’t ever let your town or city be ruined by a TV show.
