All failing businesses follow in the same pattern of death spiral. The product proves to be not acceptable competitively with the rest of the market, leading to reduced revenue. Reduced revenue flow, means contractions in assets, most often the best of those assets goes first. With the diminished resources, comes fewer and fewer clients to buoy up the cash flow, and the contraction continues. Finally the liquidation comes, and what remains is sold off at auction, bringing in perhaps even less than the remaining liabilities, which then are simply written off a cost of doing business with enterprises of uncertain sustainability.
Economics in the free market can be a cruel and deadly factor, but winners and losers are rather quickly determined. Capitalism has rules that are defied only at great personal risk.
If this is true then Elon should find a covert way to buy it. Within 2 months it would beat FNC and MSNBC combined.

‘Talent’ and ‘content’. What talent did CNN ever have? Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon?! Back in the day I remember Bernard Shaw, he seemed good. But the last ten years? And Content? Try not going hard left on everything and just giving straight news. Talent will rise and maybe even a few viewers would come too.
CNN is just background noise so you don’t hear the mechanics pounding on the airplanes with hammers at the airport.
Smerconish is unwatchable if you know his history. The ALL TIME weathervane who will whore himself as necessary. Used to be a conservative. Morphed to an Obama/Clinton/Biden voter. I won’t watch him.
Hire Coulter, Owens, Crowley, and Herridge and create their own version of The View. Would be the best show on TV.
What really killed them was losing the airport captive audience contracts.
They’d be better if they were just news, but unless something important is happening, people only watch a half-hour or at most an hour of news each night. It was the propaganda that gave CNN a loyal audience that stayed tuned in.
When I had cable, Chris Cuomo was on CNN and Andrew Cuomo was governor of New York, so there were always commercials for New York state economic development and tourism. Maybe when the Cuomos went they took a big chunk of advertising revenue with them.

Yep. As usual, when things don’t go well for lefties they also point to the wrong thing. Usually, they’ll say “our *messaging* needs refinement”, they don’t consider the *policy* surrounding it. Same here, it’s not the *talent*, is the *format*. Engaging in ‘gotcha’ politics toward one side of the aisle is separate from whom engages in it. Replace them all you want, the fundamentals are the same.
They really believe we’re all stupid and, with the ‘right talent’, will just believe what we’re told.

No one is believing the lib BS. David Carlucci, Dem Strategist, was on Newsmax this am. He was asked about the Afghanistan withdraw and blamed, Biden, Trump, and Bush....never mentioned Obozo. Surprised he did not mention Jesus Christ. Who in the hell wants to listen to Lib nonsense, ergo, goodbye CNN.
They can easily turn the slump around by being pro America, pro citizens, HONEST and being fair and balance….also getting rid of those anti American POS hosts who are the DNC rats mouth 24/7. I guarantee you in a month’s worth they would shoot up to number one slaying fox, and Newsmax! That’s all the fairy dust they need.
They should take consolation in the fact that, when they did have money to hire “talent,” that didn’t result in ratings. So they’re no worse off poor than when they were rich
