Lol yes, I can see how a constant supply of unrequested pets would result in that word being reworked.
I recall, years ago, discussing reading instruction with a young teacher who insisted that sight reading was the way to go, and that phonetic teaching (aka sounding out) was so yesterday. She said that the order the letters were in didn’t really matter at all - that it was the “whole” word. I pointed out to her that one little switcheroo of two letters turned “nicest” into “incest”.

Yup - you are right on, Spunky. It was all summer and warm and great here for a few days, then, bam.....hello winter! We’re going to start inching up the thermometer soon, but patience will definitely be in order for flower planting.

Paying off women to keep them quiet? You mean like that slush fund that congress has (your money, not theirs) to pay off any accusers? I think they paid out $17M at one point. I remember watching Laura Ingraham tell us all about it years ago, and by gosh by golly, she was going to get to the bottom of it and not stop until she found out who the payouts were made for, and what the accusations were. She ended her show with that promise, and she was ticked about it. That was the last time she mentioned it lol. The Fox bosses must have gotten more than one phone call lol.
