An Ass. Justice? Are we running out of funky broad judges so now we are assigning low tier, ditzy ass. “justices” to lynch Trump?

In the wacky world of New York courts, those called the New York State Supreme Court are at the bottom rung of the ladder as trial courts. The Highest court of the state is the New York State Court of Appeals. The low ranking NY Supreme Court for the county of New York is featured on Law & Order. Associate Justice Gesmer is at the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Judicial Department; an intermediate level appellate court with jurisdiction over the counties of New York and the Bronx. New York county is the borough of Manattan. So, this high sounding court has jurisdiction over two of the five counties of New York City, not jurisdiction over New York State. The Court is located in Manhattan. The New York State Court of Appeals is located in the capital, Albany upstate, and takes cases by permission, rather like the U.S. Supreme Court. As the State Court of Appeals takes cases by permission, the lower appellate courts are usually the end of the road.
