GCC was “formerly” informally affiliated with the PCUSA, and apparently has had a long-standing Reform-leaning contingent in the faculty; this appointment seems to confirm that.
Since Grove City College was founded in 1876, well before the 1973 split, it’s unlikely to have been affiliated with the PCUSA, which didn’t exist yet. The Presbyterian split occurred in 1973 if I remember correctly into PCUSA ( the theologically liberal wing of Presbyterians) and PCA ( the theologically conservative wing ).
Religious affiliations of institutions can evolve over time. Grove City College’s move towards a non-denominational stance reflects this shift.
Overall, while Grove City College isn’t formally affiliated with any denomination today, its historical ties likely lie with the more conservative Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) based on the timing and its current theological identity.
Grove City should be mocked to hire such as loser. And Pence IS humiliated by finding only such a D list school to sign on to.

The split between the original PCA and PCUSA implied a long-standing apostasy on the latter’s part. The GCC’s association with Pence is bad enough.
Reagent, and they accept federal money too...BUT they have a lot of language about only recognizing your birth gender and such 😉
