Does the fact that the artifacts were on a Graham Hancock website make them, ipso facto, spurious?

"They found Atlantis???"

Nah. Atlantis is in or around South America.(?)

I just ordered the Book Voyages Of The Pyramid Builders by Dr. Robert Schoch. I hope to gain some insight into many underwater cities. We'll see....

That's the DHD, integral component of the Stargate, left after the Stargate was buried to keep the Gao'uld from returning to Earth. Approximate age: 8,000 B.C.

I did a search on this subject. All I found were articles about the Bavarian Illuminati and 3,000 year old Egyptian aircraft. No word about these nine fellows. Can you provide a link?

drop the period within the quotes for the Google search. Lot's of hits.

From the first web site on Google: http://www.room23.de/786.html

This [legend] goes back to the time of the Emperor Asoka, who reigned in India from 273 B.C.

BUMP. Great piece.

Arthur C. Clarke's new book has a great quote from Kipling about ancient and forgotten cities.

A nice fictional take on the old cities, of all people, is William Burroughs (yes, that one) "Cities of the Red Night". Sort of a phantasmagorical take on an ancient civilization in the Gobi Desert.

He's the guy who invented the PC (Personal Computer). Certainly everybody remembers his "typewriter" in "Naked Lunch" ~ (and not everybody in FR can tell me they've never checked out that particular story).

This is the guy who ended up shooting his wife by accident.

I read Naked Lunch. Good thing I hadn't eaten lunch.

Cities is a good read, tho.

Maybe this is one of the cities submerged by the great flood of Noah? Could be?

I've been known to pray to the porcelain god myself. Especially in my younger years.

I'm waiting for archaelogists to dig up an SUV and declare it as final proof that this early civilization caused its own demise through global warming (or cooling, or something else).
