Your question about Quince, if you double-check my post #46 I think you'll see that I said both Chiles & Bush co-appointed Quince, and she was not either's first pick, so I hear. In fact, I believe Bush would have picked Altenbernd out of the 2d DCA instead of Quince. And once again this time Judge Altenbernd, who had been the favorite, missed out when Cantero threw his hat into the ring, and immediately became the NEW favorite.

As for why I fault Jeb Bush about the Quince pick, it's because, under the way things had always been, that seat was Jeb's to pick. But Lawton threw a hissy fit, tried to claim it for his own, and Jeb yielded and agreed to a co-pick.
