A guy doesn't have to be mentally competent to run fast with a football, I guess. It's not like these guys actually go to class or do any real academic work anyway. The colleges are full of athletes that couldn't pass a single legitimate 8th-grade class (except for maybe Phys. Ed.).

The world is full of people who would rather see their favorite team win than have college athletes who can read.
