A large surge of adrenlin makes one super human...I remember watching this film about a helicopter that crashed and a guy picked it up to get the passenger out...it boggles the mind what we are capable of..expecially when you see someone picking up a helicopter...not a military one, it was like a traffic report kind of copter...

PS The guys name was Tiny and we weighed in at about 300 pounds....

Oh they do come back, not everyone can see them, but they do and once you have experienced it you know it.

The day after my husbands funeral, I suddenly woke up and such a sense of him, I called out to him, then remembered he had died...

When my father died he appeared to my daughter (she was a teen ager and close to her grandfather), he called her by his pet name for her and just say bye bye sissy and was gone.

She never told anyone for years, until her father died and she expected him to also say good by and was disappointed when he didn't....I just told her they were 2 different people and did things differently...

When my daughters oldest girl was about 3 she woke up in the middle of the night screaming about blood all over grandma...(her great grandmother was in the hospital and she never calls me grandma to this day, I am called Greta). I got a call from my father in law the next day that my mother in law got out of bed to use the bathroom and didn't take her iv with her...she pulled it out and lucky for her a nurse was just coming in check on her, dad said there was blood all over the room...if anyone has seen an IV pulled out, its just like opening a vein if part of the iv port stays in the arm.....

This world is full of mysteries we don't understand...

My husband has come to me twice since he passed away, both times I was very upset about something and it was to comfort me, I could actually feel him wrap me up in his arms to comfort me, very different from a dream... plus he scared the heck out of be knocking on a window of my office one night, I jumped up and ran to look out my dining room window to see who it was, no one was there and then I remembered I have solar screens and you can’t knock on the glass. A friend went out front to smoke a cigarette (you don’t smoke in my house) and there was zero wind, suddenly the flag pole started shaking and making noise, he had always given her a bad time about smoking and kept telling her she had to stop — she said this was a message from him about smoking...... there has been more where he’s made his presence known to other friends, his death was very sudden and so many people are still grieving over it a year later that I think he knows this. I also had a dream about a friend two weeks before she died from cancer, I knew from the dream that she was going to pass and told some other of our friends that I thought we would be hearing soon she had passed. At the time of my dream she was not considered to be in danger of dying, but I knew she would after the dream. I’ve had other cognitive dreams over the years, never know when I will have one or why... this is why I never pooh-pooh what people say on the subject... but cognitive dreams are different than what I experienced when George came to me. I have friends whose daughter was murdered and their entire family has had visits from her at one time or other, she left small children behind so I suspect that is part of the reason... who really knows, though.

I use to drive pass the Pontiac Silver-dome on the outskirts of Pontiac, Michigan when I worked at Pontiac General Hospital...One day on my way to work I glanced at the Silver dome and saw a large hole in the dome and it was going to collapse...didn't think anything of it at the time. Figured it was my imagination

3 days later the dome collapsed. The spooky part was the day before I took a nap on the sofa in the living room, fell deep asleep, and my son said I sat upright and said the dome is going to collapse, laid back down and went back to sleep.

I don't remember doing that but he said the hair stood up on the back of his neck...he was a teen at the time...

Interesting, who knows where these things come from. I suspect even the nay-sayers have them, but are too closed-minded to admit what it is. My middle sister was very psychic until she had a brain tumor removed, afterward it was gone, but her grandson has see angels since he was able to talk, at first her son-in-law was freaked out by it, but now they listen to him and don’t say things to make him feel strange about what he sees...he’s four years old now.

Very interesting thread.

Saturday, an email friend of mine in England told of an incident that had happened early that morning to her daughter. The daughter (Sarah) works from 11pm-7am at a nursing home for elderly ladies. While at work that morning, two of the patients died about a half hour apart. Not long after the second one died, Sarah heard the bell ring from the next door room. She entered to see if she could assist the 100 year old lady in that room. ...The lady does not suffer from dementia and is mentally very sharp. She asked Sarah if her husband was out in the lobby. Sarah kindly reminded her that her husband had died over 20 years ago. The lady said that was really strange because the woman next door (the last one that died that night) was just in the room and had asked her why she was still here, because her husband was waiting for her.

Needless to say, Sarah was a bit freaked out.

A friend working in a nursing home had to call the Son of a man close to death. They knew it would take some time since the Son lived in a neighboring State. During that time the call bell kept going off and when the Nurses checked the other bed showed signs of being sat on (big no no) The Daughter-in-law called to say that her husband had been killed in a traffic accident on the way to the hospital. The Nurses had no doubt who sat on the bed to say goodbye and wait for his Father.

I’m a little leery of this story too as Jesus mentioned once you die there is no coming back in the story of Lazarus and the Rich Man (Luke 16:19-31)

Having done this before I assure you it is not fear. It’s a gift. You keep your fear behind you a moment or two and go ahead and do what you need to do

Living in an apartment complex once and got home from work to see an ambulance pulling away and a couple of police cars and a fire truck. Apparently, one of the neighbor’s kids, a cute little 4 year old girl, was run over by a lady backing out of her parking space. The lady stopped her car with her rear tire on top of the girl. The girl’s dad, had just run around the corner to corrall another child when he heard the screaming.

The story from others was that the dad (about 5’10” and 190lbs, not large or muscular by any means) came around to the back of the car, put his back to it and lifted it off his daughter so the lady could pull her out. After a couple of weeks in the hospital, the little girl came home. Talking with the dad a couple of days later, he said, in retrospect, it was a really strange experience, at the time he was lifting the car, he felt like he could have lifted 4 times the weight.

"Jesus said that we were not allowed to come back and talk to our loved ones." I'm sorry, but I don't think that is true. In fact, if you read the passage to which you allude, a careful reading indicates that Jesus did not exclude the possibility when he told the rich man that his relatives had the witness of the law and prophets and yet did not follow them, so that even if one came back from the dead they would not follow God's admonishing. The rich man was asking for something he believed was possible, too.

In the OT/Tanach the story of Saul calling Samuel from the grave through the witch of Endor indicates that the actual Samuel did speak from the other side. But the consorting with familiar spirits (like the way the witch of Endor had her 'craft') is abosultey forbidden.

And we have the witness of Paul and others that Jesus spoke to them personally even after He ascended into Heaven, and He certainly came from the dead to dwell with His deisicples for a perhaps forty days, in and out of their where/when, before He ascended to Heaven.

Read the story more carefully. The rich man believed one could go to his family from the grave, and Jesus did not directly say they could not, but that since the family had the witness of the law and the prophets and styill were notmindful of God, it was not likely that one from the grave giving warning would work either. And int he OT Saul asks for Samuel to come forth and Samuel does come and deliver a judgment on Saul!

You might also enjoy Daniel Chapter Five, where a completely separate where/when is central to the story, a where/when from which an arm reaches to the where/when of King Belshazzar.

I heard another story about a Marine who came up on a drunk driving accident on the freeway where an SUV had flipped and was on its side with two women inside. He and another motorist were discussing if they should try to get them out or just wait until the ambulance arrived when the SUV caught fire. He jumped up onto the SUV, grabbed the door window frame and jerked it - like a dead lift - and he said to his amazement, the thing just snapped off in his hands.

So I've heard this sort of story before about doors being ripped off and I just wonder if the force of the accident maybe compromises the hinges (by design)... or if, as I said, it's something larger at work.

We never knew who rescued my dad- my parents were traveling through. There are good people everywhere and sometimes something happens so we really become aware of that.

It appears to me you misread something. Without fear of the consequences resulting from not acting, there would be no action.
