About 250000 people of an aggressor nation were killed to put an end to a war that had already killed 60 million with conventional weapons, and which would have killed millions more. That strikes me as a difficult moral choice, but a correct one.
Arguments against the Bomb boil down to wishing that it never was created. But counterfactuals are not a good basis for moral arguments.
