You wanted free speech, you're getting it. < /sarcasm >
Well, Twitter, try banning Jesus when He tells you the same thing.
Yep. Paul warned us of a narcissistic society that indulges in the insanity of the latest fad and perversion.
My guess is that some woke underling at Twitter, who had no real contact with Biblical teaching, thought that people engaged in lust, anger, gluttony, etc. were being threatened with physical death by Christians.
God is both loving and just. You are not criticizing Arminianism or Calvinism but all of Christianity when you contradict the Bible. The passages in the OP above are plain enough. If God saved everyone regardless of their faith or repentance then there would be no need for the Bible - we can just sin all day every day with no repentance and nothing but hatred toward God. That might in some tortured sense be loving, but it would not be just.
Hell is real. That should grieve us as we consider the plight of souls caught in their sins and in rebellion with God. To tell people bound for Hell not to worry is about the most hateful, wicked thing you can do to them. (Granted, being a self-righteous snot about it so they are turned off is also pretty bad.)
All you said would be great if true...the great eventual salvation of all...after a bit of fiery purification...who wouldn’t get on board with that?...except....and this was nothing Calvinists and Arminialists ever put in the Book of Revelation...
“And the books were opened and the Lambs book of Life was opened, and whoever had not his name written in the lamb’s book of life was cast into the Lake of Fire!”
This isn’t a Calvinist preaching this. It is the word of God itself preaching this. Oh you can reason against it, try to find some way or some platitude against the simple starkness of the truth regarding the souls that are damned to hell. The Bible itself says what happens to those who reject Christ!
Christ himself will say to those who are lost...”Depart from me you workers of iniquity, I never knew you!” A hard truth not formed from some Arminialist doctrine but right straight from the Bible!
I wish from my softer, emotional and prone to error side of my heart that what you say could have been true but from my spirit and from the depths of my inner being that the Bible says that the Spirit of God renews day by day, I know that what you are saying is false!
Now God does operate in the timeless now, past, present and future all at once. Many who have had near death experiences and who knew themselves to be near hell have come back having experienced Christ at the very cusp of death converted and changed...God had spared them, having saved some “by the skin of their teeth”. Might other’s be saved at the last second or in other particular circumstance? Who knows!! There will be surprises in that Day of judgment! Some whom we didn’t suspect such, may actually find their names in the Lamb’s book of life! How about that! Many won’t! I’m not absolutist about who will or won’t come thru the final great white throne judgment. I just know that the books are opened and the Lamb’s book of Life is also examined with the hope that this or that individual might be found there-in or to the horror of those whose name is not found there-in!
God’s love of men is so great..if Christ can possibly save a soul, a way will be found for it to happen. He is not willing that any person should perish but have everlasting life.
Yet sad to say...some will choose death.Their name will not be found in the Lamb’s Book of Life They will not turn to Christ. And they will be cast into the Lake of Fire in the final death.
Why do missionaries go into bars?
“the real question is why is he on twitter in the first place?”
Because that’s where the people are. That’s like asking why Jesus associated with sinners.
Straightforward preaching God’s Word and being banned is a sign of honor among Christians. Well done, pastor.
To try and preach to a few lost souls before the missionaries get thrown by the enemies of Christ “behind bars”!
Elon Musk isn’t doing a very good job
Reminds me of a sermon from my youth in which the Pastor stated, "The Devil goes to Church. He doesn't have to go to the bar; he's got them already."
He ain’t bought it yet.........................
Agree. I was thinking intimidation factor
