The left would require all such to be connected (secretly perhaps), and under the premise of helping to improve performance, to upload updates and "telemetry" - "nothing personally identifiable" except they know your address, and non-PC comments - and use such to deal with you as a type of threat.
Disconnecting from the cloud will mean the same thing as not paying your subscription. Or worse.
After a few attacks by robots or failures, they will be treated like vehicles (which also will be connected to the Cloud), with inspections. Those who buy non-approved models will be fined. At least at the beginning.
Think of Facebook mods controlling who is qualified to use such. All under the premise of the common good.

Sometimes resulting in a knock on your door by the "common good" protection agency due to your child using (or watching) wrong gender pronouns, and or homophobic and racist expressions. Further warnings result in loss of children (maybe see on weekends, if super-vised) due to your deleterious psychological home environment, for under gov. health care they are responsible for this.

Its uses for deception, both deliberate as well as unintentional, seem to far outweigh any good it can be used for, but I haven’t researched the positives yet.
Amazon uses it to summarize reviews for merchandise, but it’s not trustworthy since many products have reviews that are actually for other products. You won’t know that unless you read the actual reviews instead of the summary. As long as they include the real reviews, it’s not a big deal, but why even bother?
Thus far, that’s my experience with it (that I know about). Am not impressed and would prefer this country steers clear of this sort of thing, other than knowing about it and being able to recognize when a hostile country is using it against us.
