Well after the fall of the Soviet Union, a liberal relative mentioned in passing that “he wasn’t concerned about faulty ideologies as they collapse on their own.” I was flabbergasted. I was silent, but hardly convinced. I should have replied:
“There was no need for WWII as Hitler just up and committed suicide. Yeah, these ideologies just collapse on their own.”
The truth of the matter is that Ronald Reagan pushed, and the Soviet Union fell.
The Meathead should ear a few dozen more big macs with cheese. Maybe he can set a lunch date with Chris Christie sbd stop at Kispie Krram for desert.

You have a point. It reminds me of all the talking heads, Democrats all, over the years giving advice to Republicans.
Then there was Obama “apologizing” for America. Funny, he never apologized for the many sins of the Democratic party, or for his own failings.

EVERYONE should get smart about terms that are used. As pointed out by others, the left owns the language. To which I will add “and they lie.”
Political/ideological language in this country is extremely sloppy. It is also designed to mislead.

I think you are onto something. To most people Hitler was simply a “Nazi,” a word that obscures more than it reveals. I think word is finally getting out that Hitler’s party was the German National Socialist Workers’ Party. In America, Hitler uniquely symbolizes evil, despite that fact that “Uncle Joe” started earlier and murdered more people.
Hitler = evil. Hitler = National Socialist Worker’s Party. By the transitive property: Evil = National Socialist Workers’ Party. The left has decided to blame the word “national.” That is their choice, rather than to blame the word “socialist.”
The left is still attached to “international socialism.”
International Socialism = communism = globalism.
What does nationalism mean anyway? Best I can tell, it means patriotism. The left is attacking “nationalism” today and will attack “patriotism” later.
If you are a patriot, don’t throw so-called nationalists under the bus! The left will be coming for you next. They can segway from anti-nationalist to anti-patriot as easily as they do from global warming to climate change (a different theory) and back again.
Archie was right, meathead was wrong. And still is.
