Yeah, and he died in 2013 so couldn’t have predicted Jesus’ return in 2024 either.

There are a few nutjobs on FR. However, I don’t surf eschatology threads because that subject doesn’t interest me.
To: Fiji Hill
Um, yeah, no.
The answer is NOBODY here on FR nor anyone I know in real life even thinks about predicting the specifics.

If you look at the first four seals you will notice that they are not judgments.
They are actually signs of what is happening on the earth among the nations just before the start of Gods judgment.
The next two seals describe 1) the souls of the martyrs who are being killed for their testimony of Jesus (since the beginning of the church, there has been “tribulation” against it. Those under the alter are given white robes and told to wait a little longer till the number of their brothers are martyred as they were.
White robes are mentioned only 5 times in the Bible. All 5 are in the NT.
Paul mentions them once in one of his letters, & John 4times, all in the Book of the Revelation of Jesus. All 5 times the white robes are in connection with the church. (This present church)
The next seal, 144,000 of the Sons of Jacob are sealed. 22,000 from each of the 12 tribes. These are the remnant that will not be hurt by the judgments that God will send on the earth just as they were not hurt by the judgments that God sent on Egypt long ago.
With this opened seal we also see a massive nu of people from every nation, tribe, family and language suddenly in heaven. One of the elders asks John who they were, John answers that he has no idea. The elder states that these are those who have come out of the great tribulation having washed their robes and made them white in the blood off the lamb….
The Greek word used for “come out” is ek, which means to be removed from the place, time, or cause of. That same word is used with the church of Philadelphia when Jesus said that he would keep them from the trial that will fall on all the earth. If this group were to go thru the tribulation then appear before the throne the word would have been “dia” thick means through. This, I believe is where we see the harpazo of the church before the start of the judgment of the earth. After these two events is an earthquake that is felt world wide (the first of five major earthquakes during the “tribulation, time of Kacobs trouble, the day of the LORD, or Daniel's 70th week, which all speak of the same period of judgment in both the Old Testament and the New Testament.
We are in the season of the Lords return, so look up and lift up your heads because our redemption is drawing near.
We must be about the work of spreading the gospel to as many as possible. The time is short.

I don’t believe in the Rapture, per se, but any of us can be called at any time and we should be ready to go at any moment.

IF and when you find yourself as interested in God’s prophetic timetable as you do in
“a really good USC-Notre Dame game the following October.”
Maybe then you’ll find yourself at a crossroad between what it means for Salvation rather than mocking God’s Word!
Am I suggesting that a Christian is required to fully understand escology in order to be saved? No, not at all. What I am suggesting is that a TRUE Christian would not mock His return in any manner, let alone comparing the Biblical event to that of a game!!
Galatians 6:6-8
King James Version
6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Excellent commentary as always. Thanks for posting Brother.
See you SOON in the clouds!!!

There are a few nutjobs on FR. However, I don’t surf eschatology threads because that subject doesn’t interest me. Then why are you posting on this thread?
What's your purpose here other than to mock Christians who do follow it?

Hey Brother, thanks for posting this commentary. This series (Rapture ready) is my favorite and always encouraged to hear how SOON His return is. Despite the mockers. I won’t allow my Crown to be stolen by deceivers.
Soon and VERY soon we are gonna see the King!!!

Maybe then you’ll find yourself at a crossroad between what it means for Salvation rather than mocking God’s Word! Maybe so, but "Christian" mountebanks who try to frighten everyone by distorting scripture in an attempt to prove that the end of the world is imminent deserve to be mocked.
“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?"--Matthew 7:16-16

in order to be saved? No, not at all. What I am suggesting is that a TRUE Christian would not mock His return in any manner, let alone comparing the Biblical event to that of a game!! Harold Camping said that the world would end on May 21, 2011. Can you quote me a passage in the Bible--book, chapter and verse--which specifically states that the world shall end on that specific date? If not, then assertions like this deserve to be mocked.
By the way, that was a great game, so I'm glad the world didn't end the previous May.

Response:
For one thing, I don’t know who Harold Camping is, or was. Since he apparently passed away then he has not commented on this thread.
If encouraging the Brethren that Jesus is coming soon is bothersome to you, then you might want to check your brand of belief at the door rather than muddling up the Hope of others.
