Thanksgiving can be a tough time of year for many Americans. “The worst moment for an atheist is when he is really thankful and has no one to thank,” G.K. Chesterton pointed out many years ago. These days, the holiday has two stumbling blocks that I see. The first is America’s growing secularization. The second is something evident even among many of the still-faithful: a failure to appreciate the abounding blessings we all enjoy. The answer to both is the same: Look up. Let’s take those in reverse order. In our deeply divided world, with impeachment hearings dominating our news...

Make no mistake about it, this is a multi-front cultural, political and economic war against the God of Abraham, His Bible, against His Son Jesus Christ, and against His Church that He shed His own blood to create. Whenever you see the 6-color rainbow Pride Flag, just remember that you are looking at a battle flag under which LGBTQ+ soldiers are marching to war, and that war is on biblical Christianity and the King James Bible. They do not want tolerance, acceptance or equality, they want control and aim to take it by any means necessary. Wake up, church, you...

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Yesterday after the United States Supreme Court opened and justices began filing in, a half-robot, half-human with the face of Ruth Bader Ginsburg entered wielding an arm cannon, body armor, enhanced retinal targeting, and an integrated jetpack. “I AM RUTH BADER GINS-BORG. PLEASE PROCEED,” the cybernetic justice said to her colleagues, then reclined in her provided Windsor chair which was instantly crushed under the weight of her new cybernetic body. Overall, Gins-Borg performed well, never falling asleep or showing any signs of fatigue. “She didn’t even blink,” said Judge Sonya Sotomayor who claims the cyborg justice stared at her...

Snails known as impressed odostomes, Boonea impressa, are common parasites of oysters, latching onto a shell and inserting a stylus to slurp the soft insides. Because the snail has a predictable 12-month life cycle, its length at death offers a reliable estimate of when the oyster host died, allowing Florida Museum of Natural History researchers Nicole Cannarozzi and Michal Kowalewski to use it as a tiny seasonal clock for when people collected and ate oysters in the past. Stowaways on discarded oyster shells, the snails offer new insights into an old question about the shell rings that dot the coasts...

Billionaire 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Tom Steyer says he will unify the nation behind his vision “without having to compromise with Republicans. I will be the president. Why should I compromise with the losers? They will cooperate with my policies or be completely shutout of government.” “The notion that governing requires splitting the difference between contending parties is the kind of ‘deal making’ approach that Trump has inflicted on America,” Steyer maintained. “Why should we make deals with racists? If voters make the right choices across-the-board we’ll have Democrat majorities in the House and Senate as well as own the...

So in 2010, when her oldest daughter, who was teaching in South Korea, asked her to come to Bali so they could celebrate Sherry’s 60th birthday together, Sherry — after, she recalls with a laugh, Googling “Where’s Bali?” — jumped at the...

The House Judiciary Committee announced the next step in the impeachment process, scheduling the second round of hearings for next week. In a letter to the president, Rep.
