ABC reporter Tom Llamas selectively reported on Donald Trump’s response to Hillary Clinton’s tweet calling on him to “delete” his Twitter account, shielding ABC’s audience from hearing about Clinton’s deleted emails.

ABC News and George Stephanopoulos have a credibility problem with conservatives and Middle America. And it seems to be getting worse. It’s not just that ABC News hired Bill Clinton’s White House spokesman and counselor George Stephanopoulos as a journalist; it’s that the pack mentality at ABC News doesn’t see it as a problem. “The planning meetings [at ABC News] have little political diversity. Everyone is left of center and at ease with their liberal ideals. The other viewpoint is rarely raised and never fully represented,” a current ABC News producer told me last week. ,,,,, But the bias at...

In a combative interview on Good Morning America, co-host George Stephanopoulos tried to pin down potential Republican candidate for President Donald Trump on several issues and Trump did not seem to enjoy the interrogation. When Stephanopoulos asked why Trump is still pursuing the issue of President Obama’s birth certificate, Trump responded “you make [the birth certificate] a big focus,” but argued it’s not a big focus of his campaign. However, Stephanopoulos continued on the birth certificate issue until Trump told him that he’s been “co-opted” by “Obama and his minions.” Finally, when Stephanopoulos wanted to know what Trump’s investigators in...

After a day and night of pitched battles that broke up only as dawn broke, I went back to Tahrir Square with my team this morning to see which way the wind was blowing, because it's shifting all the time here. What we found were anti-government protestors still in control of Liberation Square, and their resolve only stiffened. They're manning barricades to the square, and reinforcements are streaming in. People were bringing new supplies -- bottled water, bread and blankets -- digging in for the long haul. Around the barricades, they're re-arranging the piles of rocks from Wednesday night to...

If Pres. Obama's signal fight in the coming year will be preserving ObamaCare, he can count on at least one ally in his struggle with Republicans: ABC News and in particular its Political Director, Amy Walters. On GMA today, Walters issued a stern warning to Republicans who might have the audacity of hoping to repeal ObamaCare. The segment began with a montage of Republicans vowing to do do, including an oddly mocking replay of a Mitch McConnell moment. Then Walters appeared to announce her admonition. ABC "Good Morning America" anchor George Stephanopoulos will interview President Obama on Thursday's edition of the program. Stephanopoulos is soliciting questions from viewers here. The interview is timed with the announcement of new initiatives meant to stimulate the economy and create new jobs, though given the proximity to the anniversary of 9/11, there is a good chance foreign policy will be a major part of the interview.

In recent days, the Daily Caller website has released transcripts from the JournoList Listserv. The JournoList is a private discussion group for liberal journalists and academics. Two items the Daily Caller reported were the efforts by the participants to hide the Jeremiah Wright story by attacking Conservatives by erroneously labeling them racist and the suggestion that the government should shut down Fox News. I want to keep these two examples in mind in the my discussion below. The transcripts are quite shocking yet shouldn’t be once we realize the nature of Old Media. Chapter 11 of The 29th Day: Solutions...

Noted economist Thomas Sowell has written extensively on the “Vision of the Anointed” — intellectuals’ supreme confidence in their own superior knowledge and virtue that leads them to believe that they are an anointed elite qualified to make decisions for the rest of us to lead humanity to a better life. And, boy, was that ever on display in the “Journolist,” a now-defunct listserv comprised of several hundred liberal journalists. The Daily Caller has managed to get ahold of some Journolist e-mails, and today’s story reveals that some members wanted Fox News off the air:

Sarah Palin has thrown in her two cents about the Daily Caller’s Journolist leaks on her Facebook account. As David Corn noted on his Twitter account, she seems to miss the rather important point that Journolist is expressly a liberal listserv – and especially that most of those quoted in today’s story work for avowedly liberal publications. Still, it’s worth a read. This may all have the result of making Spencer Ackerman wildly famous. It’s encouraging for commonsense conservatives who are frustrated with media cover-ups and biases to see truth revealed.Remember the infamous “Journolist” – the listserv chat group of...

For a long time, while the bias in the media has always been obvious, I’ve always assumed that it was something in the water around the media coolers — that these people all lived in a self-reinforcing cocoon, marinating in confirmation bias, in which the correct attitudes were subtly rewarded and the incorrect ones not-so-subtly punished. If someone had told me that they actively conspired to drive the message, trumpet and even make up stories that served their narrative, and suppress those that didn’t, or undermined it, I would have said that it was both unnecessary and that even they...
