An Etruscan hypogeum which is 'considered exceptional within the western Mediterranean' has just been discovered within this ancient cemetery on Corsica... which is believed to date all the way back to between the 4th and 5th centuries B.C. Security forces in Algeria have reportedly killed a senior member of Al Qaeda in north Africa. The Algerian daily newspaper Ennahar reported on Sunday that a tip-off from a former fighter led them to his hideout. The paper specialises in security matters. It said Mourad Bouzid, 65, also known as Ami Slimane, was hiding in the town of Issers, 55km east of the capital Algiers. Ennahar said he was located using information from another Al Qaeda figure who surrendered in late January under a government amnesty.
