We have heard from his brother that Steve0113 (Stephen Burke) has passed away. Steve passed away from cancer and ESRD in September 2015. Steve's wife Nina0113 was also a FReeper and she passed away in 2011. The 0113 represents their wedding day, January 13. Prayers for their family and loved ones. Received a message from his wife that Dale Reed has passed away. Dale was a long-term conservative activist and a FReeper since nearly the beginning of Free Republic. He was one of the founding members of our Southern California Chapter. Dale and his wife and several members from Southern California were present at the 1998 picnic and meeting in Fresno where our activism efforts through chapters were basically born. Mrs. smoothsailing contacted me today to relate that longtime FReeper smoothsailing passed away yesterday, 9-13-16 of pancreatic cancer.
