According to investigators, the deputy picked up the food from the McDonald’s drive-thru while Hockaday was working. A Florida Taco Bell is being investigated after a Lee County sheriff’s deputy claimed he was served burritos that smelled and tasted like bleach. The officer, identified as Deputy Brown, ordered four burritos from the Taco Bell drive-thru on Sunday, WXYZ reports. Brown said he ate two of the burritos on his way to a call and noticed something was off. After Doctor Christine Blasey Ford's testimony on Thursday, the National Sexual Assault Hotline reported a 147 percent increase in its normal call volume. That's a trend that we have seen since the #MeToo movement. Advocates say more sexual assault victims have been inspired to come forward. Daniele Dreitzer is the Executive Director of the Rape Crisis Center. "We've seen our counseling numbers go up, we've seen our support group numbers really expand," she said. In the first half of the year, the center saw a 24% increase in the number of calls to its hotline.

A man was arrested after allegedly attempting to stab a Republican congressional candidate with a switchblade over the weekend at in Castro Valley, according to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office. A Bexar County grand jury has indicted a 30-year-old San Antonio man who was arrested in July after he was captured on video grabbing a “Make America Great Again” cap from a teenager who was dining at a San Antonio Whataburger. A Wake Forest assistant basketball coach has been charged with assault after a deadly attack on a Florida tourist in New York City, the New York Post reported Thursday. Jamill Jones allegedly slugged Boca Raton marketing professional Sandor Szabo so hard on Sunday that he fell backward, hit his head on the concrete and lost consciousness.
