Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) permitted Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) to keep her congressional committee assignments after she announced Friday she will leave the Democrat party and become an independent. “Senator Sinema informed me of her decision to change her affiliation to Independent,” Schumer stated in a press release. “She asked me to keep her committee assignments and I agreed. Kyrsten is independent; that’s how she’s always been.” Sinema sits on four Senate committees: Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs; Commerce, Science, and Transportation; Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs; and Veterans Affairs.

Left-wing activist Al Sharpton lamented Vice President Kamala Harris’ assignments given to her by President Joe Biden, saying the United States’ first black vice president isn’t being used to her full potential despite her underwhelming performance and various gaffes since taking office. “I want to see her be used more effectively, and I think her being in charge of voting was important, but I question her other assignments,” Sharpton said in a Tuesday interview with the far-left website, The Root.

A teacher working in a British classroom had pupils send handwritten letters to 'hero' Syrian terrorists. The pupils were forced to write in both English and Arabic, opening each of their notes: 'To our brothers in...' The teacher's Twitter page also features sickening images of beheading victims.

Yesterday evening, members of the House of Delegates were given their new committee assignments. There were a lot of changes made, and some were quite interesting. The most interesting - and amusing (in my opinion) is that Delegate Brian Moran - the Democratic Caucus Leader, and Delegate Ward Armstrong - the House Minority Leader, have been assigned to Finance this year. Finance is the committee that deals with tax and fee increases. Keep in mind, that Delegate Moran is running for Governor. Democrats of late have managed to get elected in part, by saying they would not support tax increases....
