Police Dept. to recruit at Chicago's Gay Games Police force will sponsor volleyball competion at Navy Pier (Crain's) — The Los Angeles Police Department, in a bid to broaden its recruitment program, will visit Chicago next summer during Gay Games VII in search of officer candidates. The department has signed on to sponsor the volleyball competition at Navy Pier in the Gay Games sports and cultural festival slated to run here from July 15 to 22 and will be promoting police jobs to all 12,000 participants.
