University of Rhode Island Police responded to reports of a gunman on the Kingston campus on April 4. Because of a state anti-gun statute, the officers were prohibited from carrying firearms with them when responding to the call. Upon arriving, university police blocked off Chaffee Hall using only batons and pepper spray. State police--who were armed--then arrived and began a room-by-room search of the building. The University of Rhode Island tries to exemplify "non violence" by barring weapons on campus--including weapons that would otherwise be carried by campus police officers.

Well, it looks like the New Black Panther Party is finally back in the news once again. A couple of months ago, as many of you will remember, Attorney General Eric Holder dropped the voter intimidation case against the Philadelphia chapter after they were caught on video carrying batons at a polling station in ’08, which led to a firestorm of videos being released against the group. Now, a new video has surfaced showing King Samir saying that whites use black babies as ‘alligator bait’, while lambasting Fox News for the coverage after it was found the case was dropped....

REVEALING new video footage of gardai batoning anti-globalisation protesters off the streets has provoked shock and outrage among politicians. One shot shows protesters surrounded by gardai, several of whom are wielding batons. Another shows a protester being kicked by one garda and batoned by his colleague. A third frame shows a protester on the ground, his arm raised to in a vain attempt to ward off a blow from a baton. Justice Minister John O'Donoghue called for a report into the Garda handling of the protest in Dublin on Monday night and said he would ensure there was "full transparency...
