DES MOINES, Iowa -- Des Moines police said Wednesday that they do not believe fights near the state fairgrounds were racially motivated or connected. Officials discussed the fights at a news conference held Wednesday afternoon. Police said officers and detectives are looking into three major incidents during the 10 days of the Iowa State Fair. Officials said the incidents are not connected.
