Two people were arrested in Oklahoma for allegedly body-slamming the manager of a Sonic Drive-In restaurant because they were incorrectly served a hot dog with jalapenos on top, cops said. Quantaurius Simmons and Andres Brisco arrived with two other people at the fast food restaurant on Saturday and ordered a hot dog with a side of jalapeno poppers at around 7:30 p.m., according to Tulsa police. Instead, however, the group received a hot dog with jalapenos on it, triggering an argument between them and the Sonic employees. A manager stepped in to try and quell the situation, but Simmons allegedly...

It was about 11 p.m., an hour before the end of Emelia Holden’s waitress shift late last month, when she felt the hand grab her backside. Holden, 21, had just finished taking a customer’s order and placing a stack of menus on an unoccupied table in the small restaurant, Vinnie Van Go-Go’s pizzeria in Savannah, Ga. At first she thought it might have been her female co-worker, she recalled to local CBS affiliate WTOC. But as she turned around, she saw that it was a customer walking past her, a 31-year-old man police later identified as Ryan Cherwinski of Palm...

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — A day after defending his use of social media as befitting a “modern day” president, President Trump appeared to promote violence against CNN in a tweet. Trump, who is on vacation at his Bedminster golf resort, posted on Twitter an old video clip of him performing in a WWE professional wrestling match, but with a CNN logo superimposed on the head of his opponent. In the clip, Trump is shown slamming the CNN avatar to the ground and pounding him with punches and elbows to the head. Trump added the hastags #FraudNewsCNN and #FNN, for “fraud news...

When I wrote about Fightin’ Greg Gianforte’s assault (as it seems to me) on a reporter, I believed that Al Franken had a history of physical aggression against folks who annoyed him. However, the only incident I recalled (and only vaguely) involved a much lower level of violence than Gianforte’s — pushing someone, perhaps someone in conservative media, out of his way in a Capitol corridor. Thus, I passed on claiming a Franken precedent. However, Dave Begley (our man in Omaha and Council Bluffs) sent me a link to the story of Franken body-slamming a demonstrator. This is from the...

The Trump resistance couldn't take a GOP seat in Montana last night, even after the Republican candidate was charged with assaulting a journalist. A day after he was charged with misdemeanor assault for body-slamming a reporter, Republican candidate Greg Gianforte won the special election on Thursday for Montana’s at-large seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. According to early returns, Gianforte, a millionaire businessman, defeated Democratic folk singer Rob Quist for the House seat formerly held by Ryan Zinke, who left Congress to serve as President Donald Trump’s interior secretary. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence both recorded robo-calls on...

Finally motivates “liberals” to slam and eliminate – or at least cut back – early voting Body slamming a reporter is a reprehensible anti-democratic act, but it may save democracy in the United States if it finally motivates “liberals” to slam and eliminate – or at least cut back – early voting. There is a sense that the people who voted prior to the election in Montana made the difference in electing the candidate in Montana who body-slammed a reporter. As a result, enough people in America may finally be motivated to eliminate or cut back early voting, even if...

LOS ANGELES - Danny Bonaduce will not be charged with battery for tossing "Survivor" contestant Jonny Fairplay to the stage during an award show this week. Fairplay jumped on Bonaduce at the Fox Reality Channel award show Tuesday night. Bonaduce tossed Fairplay over his shoulders, sending him face-first onto the stage. He reportedly lost one tooth and broke another. But prosecutors said Bonaduce won't be charged because Fairplay "initiated contact and acted offensively." According to a district attorney's report, Bonaduce's actions "fell within the realm of self-defence." Fairplay, a former wrestler whose real name is Jon Dalton, came in third...

Steeler's LB James Harrison body slams Cleveland Browns fan Slideshow:http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/slideshow/sports/5662526/detail.html Excellent video here:http://kdka.com/video/?id=11977@kdka.dayport.com (flash player and video plays in browser window) CLEVELAND -- A Cleveland fan found out the hard way what his favorite team already knows: It's not a good idea to mess with a Pittsburgh linebacker. About six minutes into the fourth quarter of Saturday's Steelers-Browns game, the fan jumped a railing and sprinted onto the field at Cleveland Browns Stadium. With his pants falling down, the man jumped around, waved his hands in the air and moved toward Pittsburgh's bench -- until James Harrison snatched him from...
