California has the nation’s strictest gun laws. There is a waiting period, a written test and a number of restrictions on guns and gear. Some voters pondering Proposition 63 have asked: Haven’t we done enough? Gavin Newsom, the lieutenant governor, says no. He’s developed the initiative that would push the state’s gun limits even further. Under Proposition 63, ammunition purchasers would be treated similar to gun purchasers. Before a Californian could buy even a single bullet of any kind, he or she would need to pay a fee of up to $50 and wait up to 30 days to obtain...

When a bullet is fired, the rifling of the barrel puts a twist on the bullet in order to improve accuracy, increase the distance traveled, and to stabilize the bullet as it moves through the air towards its target. Twist rates are often set up as a ratio, such as 1:14, 1:12, or 1:7, which refers to inches per turn. A twist rate of 1:10 means the bullet will turn one time in 10 inches of the barrel. Rifling was discovered in 15th century Germany and most likely took the science behind arrows, which are fletched in a way that...

The idea was to ask the state to establish a special sales tax on handgun and ammunition sales. The thought was that the money made from the sales tax would help pay for body cameras. The Baltimore City Council's public safety committee rejected the resolution, but it is clear the conversation about funding the body camera program is not going away. City Councilman Carl Stokes, who is running for mayor, was one of the resolution's sponsors.

It is not a novel idea -- the notion that the route to gun control is not by attacking the right to bear arms which the U.S. Supreme Court has declared to be both an individual and a national right, but to use that old standby, regulation, to dry up the supply of bullets. It was that idea that was endorsed by Fox News host Greta Van Susteren when she appeared on ABC’s “This Week”...

In the wake of the shootings at Umpqua Community College in Oregon, Mrs. Clinton advocated in New Hampshire for a new gun group for “responsible gun owners” apart from the National Rifle Association, which she considers extremist, even though no NRA member has ever been involved in a mass shooting...

un Control: Fifty-two senators, 238 House members and 80,000 public comments have forced the ATF to pull back for "more study" its proposed ban on ammo for the AR-15, the leading gun for hunting and self-defense. The Second Amendment, written in the era of muskets, does not mention what arms we have the right to keep and bear. But we have an idea, based on how they were used: to protect their owners' homes, businesses, farms and families, and to resist the tyranny of government, which during the American Revolution was the British crown.

Obama is playing a deadly game with the Caliphate. First off there is a simple question that needs to be answered before we continue. Is Obama a Sunni or Shiite? If Obama is a Sunni, it explains the brotherhood, but does not explain his love of Iran.(except for Jarrett) If Obama is a Shiite, it explains Iran but doesn’t explain his ignorance of ISIS. One thing we know is Iran is a radical Islamic nation state which could also explain why Obama does not want to use the term that the entire world knows to be true. We know a...
