The chairman also lambasted the White House for purportedly leaking its letter to Politico and the timing of said leak. The White House sent its letter to Jordan at 4:34 a.m. on December 29. Politico published a story about the letter 26 minutes later, at 5:00 a.m., and reached out to the Judiciary Committee for comment on it after the story was published, per a statement the committee made at the time. That chain of events “severely undercut[s]” the White House’s pledge to work in “good faith” with the committee, Jordan wrote.

I wonder how the French lesbian is going to deflect the ongoing criminal probe of Biden by a special counsel.

Perhaps a distraction from the GOPe farce. I'd suggest two songs; the first following the first two Speaker votes with no speaker elected: 1) Do it again - Steely Dan and for the general category - Crime of the Century - Supertramp

In June, the PGA Tour suspended golfers who joined the LIV Golf series, but the latter are allowed to play in the three U.S. majors outside of the PGA Championship — the U.S. Open, the Open Championship and the Masters — because those tournaments are not governed by the PGA Tour and have their own organizational and operating bodies. “Our focus is to honor the tradition of bringing together a preeminent field of golfers this coming April,” Fred Ridley, Chairperson of Augusta National Golf Club, said in a statement. “Therefore, as invitations are sent this week, we will invite those...

MARGARET BRENNAN: As someone who’s been an attorney general, I wonder as well, how you think about the case before the U.S. District Attorney in Delaware regarding President Biden’s son Hunter. CBS has reported the FBI has sufficient evidence to charge him with tax and gun related crimes. How would you handle this? A plea deal? Is the Attorney General boxed in to take a hard-line position because of working for the President?

Since the start of the modern party system in the decade before the Civil War, the House has changed majorities in a midterm election a little more than one-third of the time. But of the total 18 House majority changes in that time span, including presidential and midterm election years, more than three-quarters have occurred during a midterm.1 The table below lists the majority changes. Bolded text indicates a presidential election year. Italic text indicates that the Senate also changed majorities.

President Biden Delivers Remarks and Takes QuestionsWOW, they actually put in the title "takes questions". And why not, he typically doesn't, in fact almost never. So, will he have his silly card to call on people?

If you could have ONE election surprise, what would it be? Now, there is sooo much to choose from and wish for, general or specific, let's see. Is it a specific race, state specific, or something like seeing a media figure cry on TV when giving the results? Have Fun!

The new state law banning possession of concealed firearms in Times Square by licensed permit holders “does not appear permissible” and shouldn’t be enforced by the NYPD, a federal judge ruled Thursday. The 53-page decision also struck down several other provisions of the “Concealed Carry Improvement Act” championed by Gov. Kathy Hochul in response to the Supreme Court’s landmark July ruling that overturned a 1913 state gun-control law. Syracuse federal Judge Glenn Suddaby issued temporary restraining orders against the aspects of the CCIA he found unconstitutional.

The newspaper owned by the family who owns the sports media outlet that eventually will employ Tom Brady continues to break significant news about Brady’s personal life. Rupert Murdoch’s New York Post reports that Brady and his wife, Gisele Bundchen, have hired divorce lawyers. The Post previously reported that marital discord caused Brady’s 11-day training-camp hiatus. CNN reported last month that Brady and Bundchen are “living separately.”

Listening to a few Rick Beato features like the link above - Episode 91 with Joni Mitchell. Whether it's the top 20 guitar solos or it's this piece discussing Joni Mitchell it becomes obvious that from folk to metal to rock to county we have some brilliant musicians. They understand theory, phrasing, poetry, art. Every aspiring musician that grabs a guitar and starts playing has to realize the complexity of music and the genius of some of these musicians from Larry Carlton to John Bonham.

After four seasons on Paramount, Yellowstone has only earned one Emmy nod for Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Contemporary Program in 2021. It was completely ignored this year, even though Kelly Reilly’s star continues to rise for her portrayal of the volcanic Beth Dutton. There are widespread theories about Yellowstone‘s MIA status during awards season. Voters may continue to see the Kevin Costner drama as a red state western, a show about the other part of America that only your dad watches.

In June, Tesla CEO Elon Musk demanded that all employees return to their onsite workspaces, according to a leaked e-mail thread. If workers refused, Musk would consider it a resignation. Again the news today is that the NY Times can't get people back to work. However, I won't post the link.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) will formally unveil a four-part "Commitment to America" in Pittsburgh on Sept. 19 to tell voters why they should vote for Republicans — not just against Democrats — in November, Axios has learned. Why it matters: Remember the GOP's "Contract with America" in 1994? It made promises on cutting taxes and government and other conservative ideals and was released six weeks before President Clinton's first midterms. Republicans enjoyed massive wins that year and flipped control of the House and Senate. What we're hearing: This document will be much smaller. It aims to give Republicans...
