It’s taking more than five years to add ten miles of two new lanes on to I-26 in Asheville N.C. I say it would take at least ten years to replace that bridge today. Are there any people around who know how to dig tunnels, after all this is supposedly a strategic port. The bridge protection they had couldn’t stop a party boat.
At least it’s a Toyota that has a chance of lasting a few years. Besides a few payments on an 88 4-Runner, I never financed a car. It’s time to go warm up my 2,000 Camry.
We just banned them in our city park and on all greenways. Last Saturday was a beautiful spring day and the exercise track was full of kids riding bicycles, seniors walking dogs, babies in strollers etc. There were a couple of e-bikes on the track blasting by the people going at least 25mph. They used no horns, bells or verbal warnings as they passed people from behind. These are no longer bicycles with assist motors, they are mopeds to say the least.

I commuted to work in WV over the mountains. I thought it was smart that the school busses would pull off into a cutout if they had a line of cars behind them. You’re not going to find this level of courtesy today. People driving today are stupid, in N.C. half of them are feeble or heavily medicated. If want safer drivers, replace the airbag with a spear.
This surgeon I worked with had a wife who insisted on getting a Rover. I did all I could to dissuade him. A year later he was outside the dealership with other unhappy customers picketing the place. Every week in the O.R. he had another story of woe.
It’s no secret that a Land Rover is a POS. It has terrible reliability, repairs cost a fortune and plus they have no resale value. Really, “worked hard their whole lives for” what? A car! They had more money than brains, until they bought a Land Rover.
