John Harper was the True Hero on the Titanic

John Harper was born to a pair of solid Christian parents on May 29th, 1872. It was on the last Sunday of March 1886, when he was thirteen years old that he received Jesus as the Lord of his life. He never knew what it was to “sow his wild oats.” He began to preach about four years later at the ripe old age of 17 years old by going down to the streets of his village and pouring out his soul in earnest entreaty for men to be reconciled to God.

As John Harper’s life unfolded, one thing was apparent...he was consumed by the word of God. When asked by various ministers what his doctrine consisted of, he was known to reply “The Word of God!” After five or six years of toiling on street corners preaching the gospel and working in the mill during the day, Harper was taken in by Rev. E. A. Carter of Baptist Pioneer Mission in London, England. This set Harper free to devote his whole time of energy to the work so dear to his heart. Soon, John Harper started his own church in September of 1896. (Now known as the Harper Memorial Church.) This church which John Harper had started with just 25 members, had grown to over 500 members when he left 13 years later. During this time he had gotten married, but was shortly thereafter widowed. However brief the marriage, God did bless John Harper with a beautiful little girl named Nana.

Ironically, John Harper almost drowned several times during his life. When he was two and a half years of age, he almost drowned when he fell into a well but was resuscitated by his mother. At the age of twenty-six, he was swept out to sea by a reverse current and barely survived, and at thirty-two he faced death on a leaking ship in the Mediterranean. Perhaps, God used these experiences to prepare this servant for what he faced next...

It was the night of April 14, 1912. The RMS Titanic sailed swiftly on the bitterly cold ocean waters heading unknowingly into the pages of history. On board this luxurious ocean liner were many rich and famous people. At the time of the ship’s launch, it was the world’s largest man-made moveable object. At 11:40 p.m. on that fateful night, an iceberg scraped the ship’s starboard side, showering the decks with ice and ripping open six watertight compartments. The sea poured in.

On board the ship that night was John Harper and his much-beloved six-year-old daughter Nana. According to documented reports, as soon as it was apparent that the ship was going to sink, John Harper immediately took his daughter to a lifeboat. It is reasonable to assume that this widowed preacher could have easily gotten on board this boat to safety; however, it never seems to have crossed his mind. He bent down and kissed his precious little girl; looking into her eyes he told her that she would see him again someday. The flares going off in the dark sky above reflected the tears on his face as he turned and headed towards the crowd of desperate humanity on the sinking ocean liner.

As the rear of the huge ship began to lurch upwards, it was reported that Harper was seen making his way up the deck yelling, “Women, children and unsaved into the lifeboats!” It was only minutes later that the Titanic began to rumble deep within. Most people thought it was an explosion; actually the gargantuan ship was literally breaking in half. At this point, many people jumped off the decks and into the icy, dark waters below. John Harper was one of these people.

That night 1528 people went into the frigid waters. John Harper was seen swimming frantically to people in the water leading them to Jesus before the hypothermia became fatal. Mr. Harper swam up to one young man who had climbed up on a piece of debris. Rev. Harper asked him between breaths, “Are you saved?” The young man replied that he was not.

Harper then tried to lead him to Christ only to have the young man who was near shock, reply no. John Harper then took off his life jacket and threw it to the man and said, “Here then, you need this more than I do...” and swam away to other people. A few minutes later Harper swam back to the young man and succeeded in leading him to salvation. Of the 1528 people that went into the water that night, six were rescued by the lifeboats. One of them was this young man on the debris.

Four years later, at a survivors meeting, this young man stood up and in tears recounted how that after John Harper had led him to Christ. Mr. Harper had tried to swim back to help other people,yet because of the intense cold, had grown too weak to swim. His last words before going under in the frigid waters were, “Believe on the Name of the Lord Jesus and you will be saved.” Does Hollywood remember this man? No. Oh well, no matter. This servant of God did what he had to do. While other people were trying to buy their way onto the lifeboats and selfishly trying to save their own lives, John Harper gave up his life so that others could be saved.

“Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends...” John Harper was truly the hero of the Titanic!

Proof once again (multiple times actually) that Zero (Obama) is absolutely NO Christian - he is a Christ Jesus rejecting fool and will never be saved because of his high pride and haughty high minded self view of himself - bound to be sent to Hell and the Lake of Fire for sure unless he accepts Christ Jesus - but from his black pastor Rev Wrong (named incorrectly Rev Right) Obama will never know the truth of the grace of God. Period.

Three evidence explains the the reason why so many, many Catholics vote for Romney or a Democrats -

1) [As someone pointed out] the majority of Protestants vote pro-life, the majority of Catholics vote pro-abortion - Romney is a flip flopper on pro-abortion pro-life - these Catholics are evidently flipped their head flop to pro-abortion - this supports the Devil Satan and his evil ways of pro-abortion - very sad for a group of people who should have known Bible doctrine and vote pro-life

2) The Mormon Cult has always had a very successful recruit of Catholics - hence the sympathetic vote for Mormon Romney - another successful deception recruiting by the Mormons on those Catholics - this also supports the Devil Satan and his evil ways of false Bible doctrine which so easily deceived many Catholics - simply because so many are very ignorant about correct Bible doctrines of grace and eternal salvation at the moment of faith - their priests must be unenlightened on instructing Bible truths that would allow them to become unyielding to forms of un-sound Bible doctrines such as the Mormon Satanic doctrines

3) The majority of Catholics voted in 2008 for Obama (communist, anti-Christ type liar, socialist, anti-American); such a move by the Catholics was most appalling - for Obama is NO Christian - by Palin was a genuine Christian - oh, but we cannot have Catholics voting for a Protestants, rather vote for Satan's man Obama - again, these people simply voted for the empty lies of Obama on issues regarding the poor and immigration - they were foolishly deceived by Obama back then in 2008 - and again - 2012 they have again been deceived now by a Mormon cult member - Oh foolish Catholics, who has bewitched ou, that you all should not obey the truth, then and now being ignorant about correct Bible doctrines of grace and eternal salvation at the moment of faith, for have you received the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

4) Vote Projection: Catholics again will vote in the 2012 election for the wrong candidate - on the one hand - Democrat Catholics will vote for Obama (Satan's man of deception for America - on the other hand - Republican and independent Catholics will vote for Mormon Romney (follower of Satan's false prophet Joseph Smith, the false prophet for America)

I am so happy to know that God sees their every move....hence, take heed how you vote...and...

Romans 2:16: In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Time for him to convert to Catholicsm - NO - Time for him to believe in the shed blood of Christ and believer BY FAITH and be saved and 'convert' to CHRISTIANITY IN CHRIST - by whom Christ gave us the ministry of reconciliation today and has made us sons of God (Romans 8:14-15).

Catholicsm does not have all the answers - any person who believes by faith is called a Christian - believer - saint by GOD ALMIGHTY. The most important thing is to be known by God as a Christian - believer - saint.... and not known by the label of Catholic...

Here is where God declares that a Christian - believer - saint is saved, justified by faith without the deeds of the law:

Romans 3:28: Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Romans 5:1: Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Galatians 2:16: Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Galatians 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

II Corinthians 5:18: And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation

Here is where God calls ALL believers - Saints - which we all are today:

Romans 1:7: To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I Corinthians 1:2: Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

Romans 8:27: And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Romans 12:13: Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

Romans 15:25: But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.

Romans 15:26: For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.

Romans 15:31: That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints

Romans 16:2: That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.

Romans 16:15: Salute Philologus, and Julia, Nereus, and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints which are with them.

Abba, Father : What is the purpose of this prayer?

Romans 8:15: For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Galatians 4:6: And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

There are only three occurrences of “Abba, Father” in the Scriptures, Mark 14:36, Romans 8:14, Galatians 4:6. All three invocations pertain to a heartfelt and deep in the bowels vocal cry/invocation to God the Father. What is the significance of these three? Is there is an interesting parallel between these? Two occurrences of the “Abba, Father” invocations are a heartfelt cry by the believer-saint; and one invocation is by our Lord in the garden of Gethsemane prior to His betrayal by Judas and arrest by those sent by the Jewish High Priest. And what is the significance of each of these? Consider Mark 14:34-36 first:

Mark 14:34-36: And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch. And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

Christ invoked prayer each day to His Father, but notice that at the end of His earthly ministry, at the pinnacle of His earthly ministry, at the foot of the cross, so to say, before His captors caught Him to take Him to Pontius Pilot, Jesus turns His prayer to address the Father – Abba, Father! This marks a distinction of a first time usage and address to the Father with the words – Abba, Father. There is a definite reason for this address: Jesus was set to fulfill the pinnacle work of the cross which the Father had sent Him to perform.

The cry to our Father, exactly like Christ Jesus cried out in prayer to His Father in Mark 14, is a natural cry once we fully digest the book of Romans base doctrines regarding the pillars of essentials truths of justification, sanctification. Once these are learned and applied, we come to the realization that we are adopted as a son of God (Romans 8:14) and if correctly digested in our hearts, and reckon these truths in our minds, we can then truly cry, Abba, Father.

Romans 8:14: For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

The word "for" in verse 14 is a further explanation and amplification of what it means to walk after the Spirit—to mind the things of the Spirit—to be in the Spirit and have the Spirit of God dwelling in you—and for the Spirit of God to quicken your mortal body—and through the Spirit, mortifying the deeds of the body. It is a further full-blown detailed analysis of how you are to functionally live unto God at this point in our sanctification. The word "for" in verse 15 is a orientation and amplification of what it means to be adopted as a son of God. Romans 8:14-15 has a bunch of things packed into these verses: “as many as are led by the Spirit of God” — you’re supposed to know what that means; “the sons of God” — you’re supposed to know what that means; “the spirit of bondage to fear” — you’re supposed to know what that means; “the Spirit of adoption” “the Spirit of adoption” — you’re supposed to know what that means; and the pinnacle phrase "Abba, Father"“the Spirit of adoption” — you’re supposed to know what that means. The purpose of these verses are designed to give the son an initial knowledge to his basic orientation to sonship edification, which will begin the path unto the “perfecting” of the saint as a son of God.

The purpose, then, Biblical speaking, is that Christ Jesus cry's Abba Father to submit to the Father as His Son; and we as believer-saints in the grace of God also cry Abba Father to submit to our declaration that we are "sons" of our Father God as God declares in Romans 8:14-15.

This is AMERICA - not the middle east - and Sharia law has ABSOLUTELY NO authority HERE. If these people want Sharia law — then return to the middle east and have your Sharia authoritarian laws there...

Bible proof in Acts 26 and 22 that God and Christ made HIS choice for Paul to be HIS Apostle to the Gentiles:

Acts 26:13: At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.
Acts 26:14: And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
Acts 26:15: And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
Acts 26:16: But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
Acts 26:17: Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
Acts 26:18: To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Further Bible proof in Acts 22 that God and Christ commissioned Paul to be an Apostle to the Gentiles:

Acts 22:5: As also the high priest doth bear me witness, and all the estate of the elders: from whom also I received letters unto the brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them which were there bound unto Jerusalem, for to be punished.
Acts 22:6: And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me.
Acts 22:7: And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
Acts 22:8: And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.
Acts 22:9: And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.
Acts 22:10: And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.

Paul was made a minister BY GOD for the gospel of the grace of God:

Ephesians 3:7: Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

And WHY was Paul made a minister, this was well summarized by God in I Corinthians:

I Corinthians 1:18: For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
I Corinthians 1:24: But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
I Corinthians 2:4: And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
I Corinthians 2:5: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Now if anyone shall deny God's WORD - Christ Jesus, the WORD, on this matter of His commission for HIS minister today for the Gentiles, thus will he/she be so judged:

Romans 2:16: In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Notice - these words in Romans 2:16 are GOD's Words, not men's words, for God/Christ/Spirit inspired Paul to write them. So if you go against them, you are in effect working against God the Father and Christ Jesus the Lord and King of Kings...

I pray that you do not take Paul's gospel light, if you do, God will not make light your judgment, I fear... Sinner, take heed, God's grace is sufficient for salvation. Believer, take heed, God's minister to us Gentiles is God's gift to us today in the Apostleship of Paul for the grace of God and it all sufficiency for salvation.

Obama is a Christ rejecting Muslim and his policies show him to be hostile to Christians... Obama has rejected the grace of God that God and Christ commissioned the Apostle Paul to preach to the Gentiles...

Obama is a poor example of a Muslim also since Obama tries in vain to appease the Christians by quoting the Scriptures...but his Bible quotes are always WRONG and OUT OF CONTEXT...which is another proof that Obama is NOT a Christian. After all, his teacher is Rev. WRONG!!!

Bible proof in Acts 26 that God and Christ commissioned Paul to be an Apostle to the Gentiles:

These false doctrine pastors who preach prosperity gospel are those whom Christ Jesus and our Apostle Paul for the Gentiles, warning that many shall come in the later days preaching as ...’wolves in sheep’s clothing’... for such God has reserved Hell and the Lake of Fire for false doctrines as these - today we are Ambassadors for Christ and our ministry is the ministry of reconciliation, not health and wealth - that kind of false doctrine teaching only helps the god of this world to make the earth a healthy and clean and wealthly world system...

By the way... Satan is the god of this world system...Search the Scriptures for this proof, it's there. The worst is Rick Warren who cuts off the grace of God for a man-made, man-oriented, man-focused, works-oriented system of false teaching, and ensures this form of false doctrine propagates successfully by awarding 'churches' the good house-keeping Rick Warren seal of approval, ensuring that these 'works oriented churches' continue in false Bible doctrines from the master of deception - Satan.

But you are incapable of understanding that God and Christ Jesus appointed and commissioned Paul to be the primary apostle to preach to the Gentiles - see and study Acts 9; Acts 22:3-21, especially verse 10,13-14,21; Acts 26:12-23, especially verse 16,17,18,20; Romans 16:25-26; Galatians 2:6-8; 2 Tim 2:15 for all these evidence of truths which you formerly labeled corrupt theology. Contrariwise sir, you who seem to be somewhat, what specific Bible doctrines do you promulgate? I have laid bare the truths of God’s Word which I count precious in the sight of God; what be your personal beliefs?

Catholics Come Home to the Grace that Paul Preached

The Apostle Paul is the minister to the Gentiles, which is all of us, and God and Christ Jesus appointed Paul this minister to the Gentiles to preach the Grace of God and Salvation without works of the Law. Even the Jewish Apostle Peter warned that we all should heed and follow our beloved brother Paul in all the wisdom give unto him:

The Apostle Peter writes - II Peter 3:15: And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

The Apostle Paul writes - Romans 2:16: In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Peter never wrote to men that we are judged by Jesus Christ according to Peter's gospel - this Gospel was commissioned to Paul by Christ Jesus and God the Father. Heed God's Word and believe the Gospel of Grace which Paul is the minister to us Gentiles.

But what do we find Peter writing:

II Peter 3:15: And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
II Peter 3:16: As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

God desires that all who have put their faith in Christ KNOW that they have eternal life In Christ. The Bible declares by God's Word that there is NO CONDEMNATION to the believer who has the faith of Christ and believes in Christ Jesus's cross and resurrection [Romans 8:1]. The most important thing to know is that we are saved the very second we have put our trust in Christ. This is what God says, not what any man says: neither are we destined for purgatory - rather, we are 100% certain that we will be in heaven just as Christ Jesus is in heaven with the Father. But our destination is even more secure than that, for the Apostle Paul writes that we ALREADY have all the heavenly blessings in Christ [Eph 1:3].

Ephesians 1:3: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Obama's "religion" advisor is really a Christ rejecting liberal... but as God has written; people like this may hope for the demise of believer-saints, but...

Romans 8:36: As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Romans 8:37: Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Romans 8:38: For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Romans 8:39: Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God's Truth is deposited in His Word the Bible and His Son is called the WORD of God. Grace believer-saints of God will never fail to uphold His truth deposited in His Word and His Son the WORD of God.

I Corinthians 1:21: For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

I am saved by the grace of God and the free gift of eternal salvation in heaven... I have been sealed with by the Holy Spirit of promise which is my inheritance in heaven...

Galatians 2:16: Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Hell is reserved for those who "for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified"
