If you raised it 1M, the ends of the string would be 2M apart. The formula is pi times the diameter. The diameter is twice the radius.

I learned back when we didn’t use meters. If the world was a perfect circle and you rapped a string around it and cut it where the ends meet. If you raised it 6” all the way around, how far apart would the ends be. The ends would be 3.14’ apart. Six inch to the radius is one foot to the diameter. One more times pi BVB

I originally was in the camp that Obama’s father was British and that would make him ineligible. I never cared where he was born. I was more interested as to who the father is. I have noticed people taking scripture out of context to make a point. I noticed you left out these verses.

I am sorry I didn’t answer sooner. I was away longer than I planned after I posted. I Don’t see what I posted has anything to do with the Trinity. Isn’t God are Father part of that.

I don’t know if you have read enough to know it was built 90 degree to the highway on two multi-wheeled supports that appeared to be a quarter the way from the ends. That would make for a balanced/even load when built and moved. Sitting on the ends would be a completely different load on the tension cables.

I agree with most of what you said. I for one was not a “birther” as most who were against him were mockingly described. I believe it shouldn’t matter where you are born as long as both of your parents are citizens at the time of your birth.

What we had was both political parties, all 50 secretary of states, the Supreme Court and other judges allowed this to happen.

Now for the rest of the story as Paul Harvey used to say. We have no idea as to who he is short of a DNA test. The only information, as to who he is, is from the book, “Dreams From My Father” which a lot of people think was written by Bill Ayers.

You are right they were trying to cross the tracks but not at that point near the intersection of 684 & 844. It is just coincidence they stopped there. If you look on Google Earth, you can see a small road into a couple of buildings about a 1000’ from that intersection. That is about as far it would take to strop from 70+mph. It is also why the container and it’s contents are scattered before where it stopped. BVB

I live in Washington state. That should have been enough for her not to be reelected after that first term.

Her opponent was Rep. Linda Smith, a very strong conservative, who beat a long time Dem with a write in campaign. She tried to do all things she promised after she got to DC. She made a lot of enemies. They let her run against Murray. Good ole McConnell was in charge of the Senate campaign finance committee that year. Did not give her the support she needed to win. BVB

I own and shoot similar “rifles”. If you do any sport shooting or hunting, you know they are as accurate as most weapons we have today. The rifled barrels makes the difference. Alt the colonists had to see, at a hundred yards, was a person’s head, a body at 200 to hit them. The average musket, a British solder used, could not hit a body over 50 yards. We a had much superior weapon. 

Another problem, ‘our side’ will not make it plain an AR 15 is the ‘civilian version’, one shot per trigger pull, of the military full auto capable M16. 

I have followed this thread from the beginning but don’t know if this live cam has been mentioned. The top left is a live video on the top of the spillway which switches from the spillway to the area of the emergency spillway. You can see the crane we have been talking about with people near it. It turned a little from when I started watching this mourning. They just laid the boom down.

The one on the left gives several views from the bottom. Saturday it was raining enough to see some water flowing off the bottom.

Disassemble and load on the tractor trailer units it was transported to the site on. Those units would fit thru the gates and have multiple wheels to make them “light” enough to travel on the highway. Might be light enough to travel on the sections that don’t have a 28 day cure time. BVB

The end of the coupling that fastened to those cars had about a 6” elongated vertical slot. A pin or bolt in the draft box kept it from pulling out. That is so you can move one car a foot before the next car starts rolling. It is the only way you can get a long multiple car train moving. One car at a time.

Now they have a combination of springs and shock absorber to keep it centered in the draft box. It will move against the spring until it overcomes the friction of the wheel bearings and that car moves. Then the draft gear on the other end of that car and the front of the next car repeat the process. It acts as a cushion for braking. It is all silent. Much better.
