Never used Opera myself, but I have heard good things about it from others who do. I keep Firefox as my back-up in case of any issues with Brave.

The so-called “Fire Eaters” of the South were the first advocates of secession in the early 1850s. They too violated the intent of the Constitution by seeking to reopen the transatlantic slave trade, which had been ended by the Founding Fathers.

I’m not denying the existence of slavery in those areas, but the slaveholders wanted those territories to enter the Union for that exact purpose. Look at the Ostend Manifesto, which wanted the Union to first try to buy Cuba and then invade it if Spain refused, for the explicit purpose of adding another slave state. Look at the filibustering campaigns of William Walker as another example or George Fitzhugh’s defense of filibustering.

I agree that slavery didn’t start in the US and it didn’t end in 1865. Chattel slavery, that is, the trading of human beings as property, was first started on an industrial scale by Carthage- an ancient civilization in NORTH AFRICA that the historical revisionists try to claim is black (it was founded by the descendants of Phoenician/Lebanese settlers, so it probably wasn’t). Egypt practiced slavery of the Jews. The Barbary slave trade was far worse than anything in the United States and Islamic slavery is still practiced in Africa today.

in fact, even in the US, the Democrats have not shifted their tone on slavery. just look at how they want us to keep importing cheap labor to replace Americans. That cheap labor has no means of switching jobs (for instance, H-1b visas are forced to work in one job, meaning they accept one bad wage or be deported, meaning Americans competing for that position have ot accept and even worse wage). The Democrats are just like the slaveholders of the South- they want to bring in cheap foreign labor to supplant American labor for their own economic and political power.

There are several ways we can show support, as conservatives, for Damore.

First off, uninstall Google Chrome. Replace it preferably with Brave. Brave is a web browser that was started by Brendan Eich, the former head of Mozilla Firefox, who was fired after being boycotted by leftists for donating to traditionalist marriage groups. Eich then started Brave, which doesn’t track your browser history like Chrome does, which prevents the Google machine from keeping tabs on conservatives that could be later used to blackmail us. Go to brave.com/download to download it.

Next, stop using the Google search engine. Bing is a good start, but Qwant is my preferred one. Qwant doesn’t keep tabs on your searches like Google does, so just set your home page to Qwant.com and use it in the same way you would use google.

Third (if possible) switch your recreational (or professional) email from gmail to protonmail. Protonmail is based in Switzerland and fully encrypted, preventing Google from keeping tabs on what emails you receive and also what publications you’re subscribed to. If you’re subscribed to the Breitbart mailing list, Google has a record for that. If you’re subscribed to the Daily Signal, Google has a record for that.

David Wilmot: “Wilmot was instrumental in establishing the Republican Party in Pennsylvania. His opposition to slavery did not include the evolving abolitionist position of immediately ending the institution in the entire country. His views on race were instead related to defense of white free labor and, by today’s standards, could be classified as racist.”

Lincoln actually makes it very clear in his debates with Stephen Douglas that he is not an abolitionist. He doesn’t target the actual moral issue of enslaving blacks, but instead attacks the political and economic clout that gets wielded by slaveholders. The whole point of the “House Divided” speech was not to predict the Civil War, but to point out that the Union would either exist as 100% slave states or 100% free states. It would exist as 100% slave states because Dred Scott would be extended to free states, preventing free states from banning slavery, or because the free states would fight off Southern tyranny.

Also elaborating on the point he makes in the article that war wasn’t inevitable, he’s wrong.

The South had maintained a long practice of filibustering- sending militias into areas in Latin America that rampaged around. This is the reason why Lincoln said that he opposed extending the Missouri compromise line all the way to the Pacific. The slaveholders of the South would have just started doing informal military campaigns using these mercs to spread slavery all the way down to Tierra del Fuego.

Not only that, but the South would have definitely used these against the Union. A war would have been inevitable. There were pro slavery sentiments in Southern California both in the state itself and in the Confederacy. Border disputes would have been common and another Bleeding Kansas could quickly happen if Confederates swarmed an area or used a filibustering campaign. The Confederate Army also would have started pillaging islands in the Caribbean, which would’ve caught the attention of the British. Many Confederate intellectuals were also sympathetic to the idea of reopening the slave trade, which would have definitely kicked off a war.

If the South fought for states rights then why did Southern politicians expand the size and scope of the federal government in the run up to 1860?

The Fugitive Slave Act attacked states rights by creating a branch of slave catchers who acted as quasi-secret police to hunt down escaped slaves in free states. Doesn’t seem like respecting the states rights of free states.

Three Southern ambassadors, including later president James Buchanan, got together in 1854 to draft the Ostend Manifesto, a plot in which the US would attempt to buy Cuba from Spain and, if rejected, would invade to add Cuba as a slave state.

Dred Scott was perhaps the first major case of judicial overreach. Roger Taney basically told Congress that they could no longer regulate the spread of slavery in the Western territories because slaves, as property of their owners, could not be restricted, for to do so would violate the Fourth Amendment. Dred Scott only legislated this in the territories, but it was very clear that the same could easily be applied to Free States.

The South didn’t care about states rights. The South was controlled by a semi-aristocratic clique of slaveholders who sought to oppress the Northern white working class. This is the lesson that is most applicable to today. Your average Union soldier who fought against slavery wasn’t necessarily fighting to free blacks, but he was fighting against the corrupt slaveholders. Every acre of land in the West given to a slaveholder was one less acre available to a free white man. Every job that was given to a slave was one less task for a working class man.

The pro slavery Democrats of the 1850s resemble the pro immigration Democrats AND Republicans of today. Cheap labor express is nothing new to American History. Just look at George Fitzhugh. Fitzhugh believed that slavery was the best way for socialism to succeed in the 1850s. He thought that blacks should do all the manual labor in the country while whites would be free to be intellectuals. Fitzhugh also supported the enslavement of poor whites on top of blacks and wrote a book, the Failure of Free Society, criticizing John Locke and Thomas Jefferson.

David Wilmot was one of the founders of the Republican Party and echoed the point about the white working class being negatively impacted by slavery.

Now, we shouldn’t be taking down Confederate statues and the average Southern soldier wasn’t fighting “to defend slavery” as their primary motivation, but to act like the Confederacy was somehow justified or morally superior to the Union is garbage.

Shiva Ayyadurai is still running against her. My money’s on him to win the primaries. I was hoping for Curt Schilling to run, but he didn’t go to the MassGOP event I went to back in May.

Scott Diehl is also running and he’s an anti-corruption crusader. He stopped the Olympics from being held in Boston by revealing that our corrupt olympic committee sent one letter to our state government saying they wouldn’t foot extra money to the taxpayers and sent another letter to the international olympic committee saying Boston taxpayers would be on the hook for any cost overruns. Saved about $10 billion if i recall correctly. Also, in Massachusetts we pay around $650,000 per mile of road that gets laid by our Department of Transportation, compared to like a $150,000 national average, and Diehl took them on for that back in the day when they were floating a hike of the gas taxes to cover it. Diehl insisted that the Department of Transportation stop doing that and lo and behold, there was a huge collusion scheme uncovered between our Chamber of Commerce and the DoT.

There’s a third guy who’s running whose name I actually forget. He’s a black Republican and seemed like a good populist candidate with solid youth outreach. Talked about his escapades back when he was young at the talk (it was for College Republicans). I liked him too.

Still, my money’s backing Shiva. He seems like the guy to kill Warren with if Curt Schilling doesn’t run.

The mainstream media hates Israel and loves Iran because they hate America and love Islam. That’s why they labeled Rouhani a “moderate”- he invaded Yemen and Syria. There are now more Iranian troops in Syria than there are soldiers in Assad’s army. Rouhani turned Iraq into an Iranian proxy state once Obama pulled out. Soon, Iran will be able to have a full land bridge from Tehran to Tel Aviv. If they control Syria, then they can move ground troops from Iran to Iraq to Syria and from there they can invade Israel either through the Golan heights or through Lebanon, which is also an Iranian proxy state through Hezbollah. Obama fell for the Iranian taqiyyah saying that they would fight Sunni jihadists while spreading their own form of Shia jihadism. The damage has already been done. All we can do now is pray and prepare accordingly.

Hezbollah is infiltrating the United States every day with drug smuggling routes. They could easily use these for human trafficking like the cartels do, or better yet, partner with a drug cartel and do a major terrorist attack. Don’t even get started about what ISIS could do if they mimicked that kind of structure.

There are ways for conservatives to avoid using these technologies. Start by downloading the Brave browser- it blocks all ads and prevents surveillance and data mining by Google. It was started by Brendan Eich, the former CEO of Mozilla who got fired for fighting the gay agenda.
    https://brave.com/download/

Then, start using other search engines. I’ve started using Qwant.com, but others exist like duckduckgo. These don’t keep a record of your search history, so it can’t be used against you if Google decides that Christianity and low taxes are now tenets of Nazism.

Social media is harder, but I’ve opened up a Protonmail account to start making more subscriptions with. Protonmail is based in Switzerland and fully encrypted, meaning it too is not tracked. You can use Telegram or WhatsApp, which are both encrypted, to avoid Facebook or Google monitoring your chat histories. Take the case of the Harvard teens who were denied admission for their meme chats as a sign of what could come for Christian conservatives.
