folks here need to understand that Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans are a trap ... too many people sign up thinking they’re a bargain, but can switch to regular Medicare should they contract severe illnesses ... they can indeed switch, BUT only to Plan A and Plan B, but WITHOUT the critical Medigap plans that cover the 20% that regular medicare doesn’t cover, because there’s regular Medigap plans are oblitcated to sell you one ONLY if you buy one when you first sign up for Medicare ... after that, they will NOT sell you a plan if your health is poor ...

buying Medicare Advantage and then thinking you can switch to regular Medicare should you become extremely ill is like thinking you can switch from super high deductible casualty insurance to super low deductible casualty insurance on the same day that your house catches on fire ...
