Actually, you needn't worry that I'd return under another name; however, since I still believe in the Republican cause, I urge you to be more considerate of others who may wish to join your organization in the future. For you see, I met the leader of the NC Chapter of Freepers at the rally in Raleigh. They had spent a considerable amount of their time and money that you all donated in order to set this rally up. The main purpose being to encourage growth in the Freeper organization, but the next time I see them, I will let them know that there are some in their organization tearing down as fast, if not faster, all those things they've worked hard to build.

So if you have not supplied any of your own hard labor to build, you certainly should at least not tear down the hard labors of others.

Besides, last time I checked, the party lines in the country were split right down the middle, so obviously, you cannot further your agendas on your own steam. You still need to attract others to your party, and it's safe to say that you're more of a repellant.

Still, all in all, I have spent some time with both parties, and the manners of the Democrats is still considerably worse. But I have found I still do not want to be associated with either party. I guess I'll have to resign myself to perpetually being an Independent.

    Much luck.

Well, if you'll notice, the moderator was the second post on this thread, and they said nothing.

But that's okay. I will leave the forum and cancel my account. Too many policemen for me.

    Hi, Moderator,

TomServo does bring up an interesting subject, though. If you read the exchange further up, you'll get the idea.

But I do have an issue with that. Allow me to explain. I like the idea of posting articles and then discussing them, but I think that's only doing half the job of informing Conservatives. I think "vanity posting" should actually be encouraged. Why?

Because what the goal is, seems to me, is to produce informed leaders who can take the message out to parts unknown and convert others fully armed.

Now, if you have posters posting their own stuff, they can get challenged here, and in that way, they can be prepared with their own responses.

In other words, if you use this forum as a place for budding journalists to test their wares and use this as a place that budding journalists can start to get some recognition, then doesn't that mean that you produce just that many more Conservative journalists that can graduate to the "elite" media?

The world needs more Conservative journalists, and seems to me that Freep would benefit significant from such promotion.

I mean, why do you think Drudge made such a mark on the world of media?

Seems like you should have a contest and give the budding journalists with the most votes a thread as well.

In that way, you will even promote more responsible posting.

    Just an idea.

Thank you for that link, but I think the Thought Police are taking themselves a little too seriously. The "Rules" are rather vague, not as literal as you'd like to "suggest." Jeesh. If Admin doesn't like it, isn't it their job to point it out? Also, following your version of the rules, wouldn't it have been better for you to have written me a private letter rather than "vanity posting"? After all, "lead by example," right?

Well, since I'm new here, you're going to have to tell me what a "vanity" post is.

What? Are you saying that this is only a place where you can post headlines?

I mean, this is the second time someone has made a comment like this to me, and I'll have to tell you, I just don't get it.

I mean, the POLITE thing to do is, if you've got rules of some sort, to post them so that people don't have to stumble on 'em or get nasty grams like yours.

I mean, I'm all for "following the rules," but you kinda gotta know what they are in order to follow them.

Oh, jeesh, what an idiot he was. LOL. Saying some stupid nonsense that Germans are politically aware people. Yeah, right. You get that impression if you watch Baghdad Bob's Channel (BBC).

Before the war with Iraq, We-Luv-Ya Rummy was talking about pulling our troops out of Germany, and there was an interview of one such "politically aware" German, and she was asked her response to our pulling our troops. Get this. She said: "It's Schroder's fault for making the Americans mad by not supporting the war."

    Duh!!

That, ladies and gentlemen, is the Leftist idea of what it means to be politically aware.

Reread post #1. Communication is a two-way street. Otherwise, it just becomes condescension.

Don't worry about their opinions. They're just giving their opinions on what they think it said, not what it really said. They missed the whole point, obviously, in their rush to opine and be heard.

If they clearly read it and comprehended what was really said and then disagreed, then it would be worth the time to listen to their viewpoints and then to respond. Otherwise, it's not worth paying attention to.

He let the e-mailers have it. He went off on them like Neil does to France. Then he started talking about the virtues of Freedom of the Press and how important they are to guard against government fed propaganda.

I like the idea of the embedded journalists, but most media and people have forgotten that there is a difference between journalists and columnists. They've blended the two.

And if the "elite" media is going to try to create ditto drones out of its viewing public, then it becomes all the more imperative that all the views be heard, that stations with other viewpoints be encouraged to grow.

I mean, isn't that the reason Clinton went after Microsoft? Because Libbers don't like monopolies? Unless, of course, they're the ones with the monopoly.

    Yes, let's start this pressure.

Look at it this way. Germany is on the verge of bankruptcy. If we pull our troops out of there, they lose a valuable industry -- an industry at our expense. German people will suffer huge economic loss, and the people will blame Schroder.

France and Russia wouldn't be able to save Germany. They're facing their own economic problems.

The German people will become very unhappy with Schroder, and he gets booted out of office, and his party will never recover from that for a whole generation.

Let's scratch Germany's back like they scratched our back.

Done. Robbins is a typical Socialib. He said, get this, "that it's sad that the Bull Durham Baseball committee used its weight to make a political statement." Uh, duh, what do you call what he did when he used his stardom to foist his political beliefs on others?

What else do you expect from the mecca of high school grads and dropouts? They missed the class called critical thinking. That's what makes them Socialibs.

Put Hollywood out of business. Dump all your movies/music on Kazaa so that others can "preview" the movie for free. Of course, it's illegal to make and keep copies of the movies or reproduce them, so we'd never sugges anyone, like, steal their movies and music and make them lose loads and loads of money. I mean, after all, we like Hollywood, and since they have proven their unfailing patriotism during a time when America needed them, of course, we want to pay them back in kind. [choke, choke]

    Texas/Nashville need to replace Hollyweird.

How stupid. They assume that just because they are lazy and don't have a job that everybody else is just like they are.

Sorry, bud, but WE HAVE SERVED OUR COUNTRY. WE ALREADY TOOK BULLETS FOR OUR COUNTRY ONLY TO COME BACK TO ARMCHAIR ANALYSTS LIKE YOU TO SPIT IN OUR FACES.

And if our country would take us, we'd be back there in a heartbeat, but they won't. We're too banged up. So we do what we can by giving the troops moral support.

Not everybody is as lazy as you. And what have YOU done for YOUR country "ever" besides exercise your jaw muscles too much, a freedom paid for by those who aren't cowardly?

The only reason why the Iraqis haven't attacked the human shields is because the Iraqis think they're either U.S. or British citizens.

We should let the Iraqis know that we don't claim 'em.
