As an 8-year smoker I would like very much to quit, but I don't see how calling a hotline will help me do so. Being that I'm partly a "conversation smoker", I would likely light up while on the phone with the hotline reps.
Also, it's a bit hypocritical that states relish the tax money they get from smokers, yet they continue to outlaw smoking in, well, everywhere.

I grew up watching MTV in the '80s, when videos were all about who could use the most technological tricks. It seemes then that music videos actually had plots - except for videos utilizing concert footage - and they were fun and harmless. Nowadays it's all about who can cram the most sex and/or violence into a three-minute block. I haven't watched MTV since 1989. The above-mentioned comments describe my secondary reason for not having watched MTV in 15 years. The main reason, though, is that music, in general, took a nose-dive in 1989. It takes very little talent to operate a synthesizer, and that's all music is these days. I'd like to hear other opinions on this.
