We know the D’s are a big part of the problem, but let’s not give the Pubbies to much credit.
Why didn’t they start this ball rolling when they had the House, the Senate and the White House? Why does Boehner say we’re going to hear a lot of noise about this “over the next five months?” We should have had oil wells all over ANWR and the Gulf and a refinery on Barbra Streisand’s estate in 2001.
I hope we all live long enough to see West Virginia turn around.
As far as Ohio goes, there’s no question we have been betrayed by corrupt Republicans. But we usually throw the bad eggs out. We don’t keep sending them back to DC. That’s why we’re stuck with the ‘rats.
By the way, I don’t consider Taft corrupt for enjoying a couple of free golf games. I consider him a spineless elitist with no convictions who squandered an opportunity to make a positive difference. We’re living with his legacy.
Generalizations may get me nowhere, but consistently sending a KKKlansman and a liberal Rockefeller to the Senate speaks volumes about why WV is 48th to 50th in any important ranking of a state’s performance.
