Enjoyed this article as it examined the root of the violence problem verses the knee jerk reactions and emotions of the sheeple.

Its kind of funny to say values voters help get the worst of two choices, when they are the minority. It seems like those folks who are not values voters got the nominee to be Romney and McCain before Him. Perhaps next time around if folks stick to values voting we will have a voice that no would consider to be a liberal in Republican clothing.

I will say though, that putting values aside (for those issues Romney is equal to Obama), I do not believe Romney wants to see the country be destroyed as I believe Obama does.

I imagine the next president very likely will be Romney or Obama. I don’t care for either. I am a values voter. While I will definitely vote for president, I won’t be voting for either of those men. I would have voted Cain. Would have voted Santorum. But I won’t vote for two liberal men who both support activities that I believe sinful. Yes, that likely means one of the two main candidates will be elected. The country will end up with a Jimmy Carter reject or a Arnold Schwarzeneger wanna be. Life moves forward.

Mike is a good friend of mine. I post this in appreciation of his effort to educate his students and the public. He is working desperately to get on the ballot in a number of states. In his home state of Ohio he needs a total of 5000 signatures to get on the ballot. If you would like to help him out, he would greatly appreciate it. He is running a "no-budget" campaign. Meaning, he is relying upon Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/michael.vargo.12), 3owl.com (http://mikevargoforpresident.3owl.com/) for a free website, donated radio or television time, and newspaper interviews to get the word out regarding his campaign. He has been making a good effort about getting out into the public to meet folks and seek signatures. As far as a campaign message, he continually returns to a theme that the American Public does not have to rely upon a system of "choose one of two you don't even like" for President of the United States.

He would appreciate any help he can get or even a like on Facebook to get knowledge of his campaign out to folks.

Whoever the nominee ends up being, voters must make certain they show up in droves to fill the senate and house seats with conservatives. Thus, regardless of who the ultimate presidential nominee becomes the nation will be safeguarded. That represents the best current alternative.

I noticed a number of very solid articles focusing on Romney's Mormonism. Thought I would add this from a Christian perspective outside of the points otherwise noted.

Your post reminds me of a number of places I have been where there are “community umbrellas”. People just leave them for other folks going out and those going out take the umbrellas. Good idea on keeping a few extra in the car.

Once upon a time, a perfect man and a perfect woman met.
After a perfect courtship, they had a perfect wedding.
Their life together was, of course, perfect.
One snowy, stormy Christmas Eve, this perfect couple was driving their perfect car along a winding road, when they noticed someone at the side of the road in distress.

Being the perfect couple, they stopped to help.
There stood Santa Claus with a huge bundle of toys. Not wanting to disappoint any children on the eve of Christmas, the perfect couple loaded Santa and his toys into their vehicle.

Soon they were driving along delivering the toys.
Unfortunately, the driving conditions deteriorated and the perfect couple and Santa Claus had an accident.
Only one of them survived the accident.

    Question: Who was the survivor?

    Answer:
The perfect woman survived. She’s the only one who really existed in the first place. Everyone knows there is no Santa Claus and there is no such thing as a perfect man.

**** Women stop reading here, that is the end of the joke.

    **** Men continue on...

So, if there is no perfect man and no Santa Claus, the woman must have been driving. This explains why there was a car accident.

By the way, if you’re a woman and you’re still reading, this illustrates another point: Women never listen.

I can hardly believe it. The sun affects the warmth and coolness of the planet. All this time... this precious time... I was sure it was just Obama’s teleprompter.

Of course, the concept of this article can be expanded directly to those who we put in political office. They are all fired up to get out there and "serve the public" at first. But are they prepared for the lobbyists and back room deal temptations that are going to be put in front of them? How many falter, because they weren't fully aware of the dedication needed by the American people? How many didn't keep themselves separate from the slime that pulls them down a slope of political power rather than service? Instead of filling their lives with the objectives of constitutional fulfillment and therefore removal of those items which strip freedom, they enable themselves to be directed by the shackles of greed and goose stepping.

Interestingly enough, I just ran across the following related article: http://news.yahoo.com/romney-obama-two-unelectable-candidates-square-off-2012-170032632—abc-news.html . It also focuses on the disgust with the current candidates and discusses what happens when no one is electable.

As a side note, consider Mormon's believe in modern day revelation. What happens if Romney gets elected and believes he is supposed to hit the lil red button?
  • Replacing a Preacher - "Seeking a Preacher"

Greetings! Marital status is important to a Pastor which examining scripture turns out to be the same as an elder or bishop. He does indeed have qualifications to be married as well as a great number of others(Titus 1:5-11, I Timothy 3:1-7). However, while a Pastor can preach, all preachers are not pastors. The person seen in a pulpit each Sunday is a preacher or minister who has no authority over a congregation. A pastor on the other hand is part of a plurality of qualified men who have authority over the Church as ordained by God. The terms minister or preacher and pastor have been mixed by the religious world, but they are certainly not the same as seen by the Biblical qualifications in the verses noted above. The study of the English word “pastor” is an interesting one. In most new testaments it is rendered pastor only once (Ephesians 4:11) and the remaining times it occurs as “shepherd”. When a person has time, it is an interesting thing to check out.
