Still no words from Rush about Janeane Garofalo joining the cast of 24?

Can’t say anything nice, so not saying anything at all?

He needs to deal with this, soon.

What a load of bravo sierra.

Keep in mind this is the ingrate actor-bum who worked for 24 conservatives yet claimed he based his president/character on his 2 favorites -- Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter! Watch 24 DVD's and it's obvious the show creators were sick of Haysbert and always hedging their bets on paper to kill his character off in just about every year of the show.

Just what does this SOB have to complain about? 24 made him famous and gave him such a high Q rating that he got a lucrative deal to front for an insurance company plus headline his own new series. His presidential assassination plot was the catalyst for the entire 5th season of 24 -- from the first shot to the final casket scene, Jack Bauer's Day 5 was all about solving his friend-the-president's murder. And now, if spoilers are to believed, the writers of 24 are going to mirror JFK and RFK, and have the assassinated president's brother go for the presidency.

Funny how Haysbert's angst seems to have disappeared on 24's Emmy-winning night -- he gave lots of 24 related interviews and never went to his new network's parties -- he hung out with the 24 winners at Spago!

The Pragers are far too long in the tooth for such foolishness.

Medved sounded embarrassed for them when someone just mentioned it on his show.

    How pathetic.

And what a downer to dump this on all of us going into celebrating New Year's.

I dumped O'Reilly when he refused to "look out for" poor Terri. His incessant whining about all the "pinheads" in the Florida legal system who botch all the child welfare cases really rang hollow after he ignored the "legal" starvation of an innocent, child-like, brain damaged woman.

I also quit listening to Neal Boortz because I found it bizarre that a supposed libertarian like Neal was perfectly ok with big brother government having the power to starve Terri.

Gee, long-winded AND a liar -- what a lethal combination!

Since we're now celebrating the 2 year anniversary of the New York Times launching its war against Mel Gibson, I can't allow your lie against him to stand -- Mel stated in no uncertain terms that he believed the holocaust occurred, and anyone who gets the tape of his Diane Sawyer interview from ABC will know that you are a liar and a slanderer.

You seem to be missing my point and the point of many others, namely that much criticism of Jews has been coming from Jews. Rich and Waxman were the first ones to claim in story after story in the New York Times that Hollywood was ruled by secular Jews and planning to punish Mel for daring to make a faithful, reverent Christian film. But it's now somehow anti-semitic when a Christian quotes them?

You've been given name after name of Jewish commentators criticizing Jews in the film industry, especially for rushing to fund anti-Christian films but balking at Passion -- Rabbi Lapin, Michael Medved, Dennis Prager, Bert Prelutsky, Don Feder, even goofball Ben Stein, but when Christians quote them, it's anti-semitic? They get to lament that the ACLU is mostly staffed and funded by secular Jews trying to radically change American culture, but if Christians notice, it's anti-semitic? I've heard and read countless Jewish opinions lamenting that 75% of Jews suicidally voted democrat, but I guess if Christians say so, it's anti-semitic? This is shaping up to be a case of no one gets to talk about Jews but Jews.

No problem -- but I'd appreciate it if you'd return the favor and cease and desist slandering Catholics. You love evangelicals and loathe Catholics, fine, but don't repeat as Gospel their twisted view of the Catholic Church and pronounce it to be history, don't repeat their slurs that Catholics don't believe the Bible when in truth, we accept more of the Bible than they even acknowledge exists!

You believe a vicious liar like Krauthammer implying that Vatican II was somehow an admission of Catholic guilt in the holocaust?! You accept exaggerations about the Inquisitions and Passion Plays, all the while ignoring the obvious facts of history that it wasn't until the Catholic Church was eclipsed in Europe by Darwinians and Marxists that Hitler and Stalin rose to power. If you believe that, no wonder you accept Krauthammer -- he criticizes Mel for having Satan among a crowd of Jews, all the while ignoring Satan tormenting Christ in the Garden, inciting the Roman guards to mercilessly scourge Christ, and menacing Mother Mary on the road to Calvary. Dr. Krauthammer even had the temerity to fault Mel for saying that he prays for Jews, something all Christians are required to do -- go ahead, ask your beloved evangelicals if they don't daily 'pray for the peace of Jerusalem'.

You want to believe the worst about Catholics, go ahead, accept revisionist lies. Ignore all the Catholics who died at the hands of Hitler and Stalin. Ignore all the Catholics who died freeing the world from Hitler and Stalin. Ignore Bill Donahue's decades of support for Jews and call him an anti-semite when he quotes Jews you'd also rather ignore. Hey, you can even ignore all the millions Bill O'Reilly has raised in support of Jewish causes and call him an anti-semite like the ADL. I'm not paranoid, and I certainly don't believe in conspiracy theories of either the Jewish or Catholic variety, but I certainly know that I'm not alone in saying that one of my New Year's resolutions this year will be ignoring the likes of you.

I'm unaware of any Catholic officials calling press conferences to defend child-molesting priests.

I am quite aware of Rabbi Boteach conducting a media blitz to defend Michael Jackson from his initial child molesting charges -- you know, the case he settled out of court for 20+ million. His full-blooded defense of Michael Jackson all over TV 10 years ago was my first introduction to Rabbi Boteach. Repulsive.

Why he is accepted into civilized society is beyond me, but I've noticed Dennis Prager criticizing him more and more, and Michael Medved has taken to saying things like "we used to be friends," so maybe his 15 minutes of fame is running out.

Or, maybe Donahue was merely referencing the New York Times -- of their more than 100 stories slandering Mel and Passion, a dozen by Rich and Waxman made quite a point of stressing that Hollywood was ruled by ethnic Jews who were planning to destroy Mel Gibson for daring to make Passion. Quite a number of them threatened Mel -- gutlessly, anonymously, off the record.

The Catholic League has maintained a catalogue of quotations for the past 2 years titled "Maligning Mel Gibson." Michael Medved has consistently stated that while Passion would cause no anti-semitism, the viciousness of these attacks, mostly with Jewish by-lines, would generate untold antipathy toward Jews. The blowback is obvious -- why do you think there have been all these cases of Christians fighting towns and parades and the ACLU to keep the symbols of Christmas in the public square this year -- why did Bill O'Reilly do "Assault Against Christmas" stories for one solid month -- why are people making such a point to loudly say "Merry Christmas"?

Dennis Prager interviewed this rabid rabbi tuesday morning -- Dennis and his producer laughed his anti-semitism claim off by naming all the Jewish heads of major studios and TV networks -- Prager felt that while Donahue wasn't exactly diplomatic, he was merely stating the obvious! A Jewish caller noted Bert Prelutsky's recent columns about how it's no longer possible for Christians to ignore the mostly Jewish named lawyers and donors in the anti-Christian ACLU. A later caller also blew the Coppola, Scorsese crappola out of the water by following the money trail -- did you know the vile Last Temptation of Christ was financed by a guy named Lew Wasserman? I didn't, but it's sad to me that people are now tracing Jewish money to almost all anti-Christian films. Dennis Prager knew all about this because he protested Last Temptation over 15 years ago.

You're repeating nonsense about that Vatican II statement -- nothing in Catholic teaching has ever allowed for anti-semitism -- it was merely a polite restatement of 2000 years of Catholic teaching that while some Jews were involved in Christ's Passion, not all Jews back then and certainly no Jews now could be held responsible. Mel Gibson made quite a point of affirming this in his Diane Sawyer interview. I hope you know that in the Passion readings at Easter, we in the congregation read the words of the crowds shouting 'crucify him' to signify that it was all our sins that nailed Christ to that cross. And, oh yeah, this nonsense about Catholics rejecting the Old Covenant -- every Catholic Mass has a series of Scripture readings which always begin with one from The Old Testament followed by responsorial psalms!

I live in a state that's 3% Catholic vs. 97% evangelical. It's pretty much impossible to avoid evangelical Christian radio around here. While I agree that they breathlessly support the state of Israel, they have no use for the likes of Boteach who offended most Christians by calling them "ignorant peasants" for not agreeing with his revisionist New Testament interpretation that no Jews were involved in the Passion -- if they call to support him, most of the time it's because he or they are bashing Catholics. I have a friend of 30 years who's Jewish -- his family came here 300 years ago -- he laughed about all these Passion related claims of past or future anti-semitism by saying the only religious bigotry he's witnessed in his lifetime have been by evangelicals against Catholics! He also said that if he ever had a problem late at night downtown, the first place he'd run for help was the 24 hour perpetual adoration chapel run by our Catholic parish!

So, I'd really appreciate it if you wouldn't be so quick to repeat exaggerated claims of evil Catholic history from secularists who want to remove Catholic morality from society or from evangelicals who incessantly slander Catholicism in their pulpits, papers, and radio stations. Always consider the source. That's why I no longer trust anyone who slandered Mel or Passion, especially the lying, viciously anti-Catholic Charles Krauthammer.
