Stolen Honor first shows Col. Day with all his medals hanging behind him, in the background they talk about how he survived 67 months as a POW in Vietnam, that he is the most decorated veteran of the last century and that he received this Nation's highest award for valor. It is most impressive.

Col. Day talks about being outraged at how Kerry portrayed his fellow soldiers, that what Kerry said was "sensational and outrageous" propaganda, that Kerry blacked the entire history of the Military, not just for day, or a month, but for three decades, that Kerry lied for his own self interest and finally, he says that what Kerry did was treason.

that's not what we are talking about here. as other posters have said - let US Air use the bankruptcy laws for what they are really supposed to be for - go bankrupt, go out of business, re-organize, or liquidate and pay creditors.

You are simplifying things. Even if a business plans to liquidate in bankruptcy, if it is deemed necessary, they are sometimes kept as a going concern during bankruptcy in order to preserve assets. Sometimes they close their doors and are liquidated piece by peice. And sometimes they reorganize.

US Air is trying to reorganize. Part of process of reorganization is to cut costs and rejection or modification of contracts can achieve that.

This judge decided that cutting the wages would give the company a fighting chance so he did. I am not advocating what the judge did in this case, or the one at the link I posted.

Bankruptcy laws have protections for wages and things like that. Individual employee claims are considered priority claims under bankruptcy law and they should feed first.

Claims arising out of rejection of contracts feed last.

The point is that union contracts are executory in nature and therefore subject to modification and rejection under bankruptcy law.

The point is that bankruptcy protection for employees can be circumvented when they are the subject of a union contract.

Bud Day gives the POW side in the movie. He is just as awesome as you would expect him to be. He speaks in a calm and authoritive manner, and the emotion of what he is talking about comes through loud and clear.

There is case law, and plenty of it, in support of canceling union contracts under the bankruptcy rules.

I saw the movie in its entirety tonight.

It is spectacular in content and presentation.

It is emotional and effective in its message - John Kerry is a liar and political opportunist, he betrayed our troops and our country.

According to their chat rooms, they posted pictures of what they claimed to be undercover police officers, full face views, on several sister sites. They were asked to blank the faces or take the pictures down. They did on some sites but not on all.

The pictures compromised the men and whatever mission they were working on. Of course, they see nothing wrong with that, freedom of speech and all.

This was the same site that posted the picture of our troops with swastikas on their arms, remember?

The head of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian refugees (Unrwa), Peter Hansen has acknowledged that some of Unrwa's 24,000 Palestinian employees were probably members of militant groups but he did not see that at a crime.

"Hamas as a political organisation doe not mean that every member is a militant and we do not do political vetting and exclude people from one persuasion as against another," Mr Hansen told the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation on Monday.

But he said the UN expected all employees to act with neutrality.

UN officials in New York say they have no information about the latest reported arrests but they say in the 12 months to June this year, 34 Unrwa staff were arrested or detained by Israeli authorities in the West Bank and Gaza.

Abu-Salem raises the number of female suicide terrorists to eight. Security sources say that she, like most of them, was young, single, and intelligent.

Intelligent? She blew herself up to murder other people. I would say that makes her extraordinarily stupid and evil as well.

What a surprise! In the seventies, you were writing about your future. Looks like you're more of a prophet that the Prophet of Doom you worship.

That's right Cat. You are cursed, by choice. You can knock on the door of freedom but the US is closed to you. We have no need for you no more and its too late to open the door. So get used to the dark and empty place you have made your home.

Okay. So, in the 40 minutes between the second plane striking the WTC and the plane striking the Pentagon, John Kerry sat, stunned and unable to think.

In those same 40 minutes, President Bush spoke to the Vice President, the director of the FBI, the National Security Advisor, and the governor of New York; addressed the nation; and rushed to Air Force One.

Oh, and he also read a book.
